I recommend this game for anyone that is a KH fan! It was a little hard to get use to at first, but afterward it was great. Word to the wise though: if you have a hacked PSP, I do not encourage buying it, as it may not work. But at least you wont feel as guilty.

Im very new to KH and figured Id use this game to launch myself into the world and get used to the characters and playing style. As a newbie to the whole RPG world, this game was very easy to learn how to play. (Like all the other KH games it comes with the ability to choose what difficulty setting youd like to play at. The options are Beginner, Standard, Proud, and Critical Mode.) The characters are fun and its easy to get caught up in the whole story line and concept. This is a fun PSP game and I recommend it to all who would like to become familiar with the whole KH story, this is the prequel to the entire series after all!

I am a hard core Kingdom Hearts fan. I have played all the games that have ever come out (excluding the Japanese versions and their Final Mixs). Out of all the games that have been publish through the Kingom Hearts years, I dare say that Birth By Sleep tops over all of them in performance. The battle system is the most complex yet user-friendly that has ever been implemented. One goes about the game gaining attack cards (to give them a name) that one levels up, and combines to create new different types of physical and magic attacks. As far as PSP graphics go, Birth by Sleep pushes the PSPs limit by using great cutscenes that match even the best of the console series. The story is as good as the first Kingdom Hearts if not better. The concept of having three different characters going about the same story and seeing each individual story unfold to come together as one was one I didnt feel comfortable with. That is until I pushed that side power button and had unanswered questions within the first ten minutes of the first characters story (which you get to choose by the way). It is genius and is one of the major components making this game great. If it isnt better than the first game (and I can not bring myself to a decision due to the nostalgia and love for the original) than it is as good as the first Kingdom Hearts. I would recommend this game to any Kingdom Hearts fan, and non-fan alike, who own a PSP. You will enjoy the game even if you are not familiar with the series as a whole.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is a great prequel to the kingdom hearts series that helps understand kingdom hearts complex story line. I highly recommend this title to new comers to the series and old fans that want to enjoy a kingdom hearts tittle until Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD remake comes out in September for PS3 and the long awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 which comes out in two to three years for the PS4 and XBOX1

I hate using the PSP because the screen is so small and playing a game is hard so I bought a component wire and hooked it up to my 32 TV and it is just as good as any other system now. This game I real good and interesting. I love the story and the characters. The picture is so clear and the music is awesome. I highly recommend this game.

This is a brilliant prequel to what will be one of most well known video game crossovers of all time. Beautiful graphics, the PSP shines like the PS2. True sceneries could be played with more but for the PSP Im massively impressed. The story is absolutely heartbreaking, and incredibly dramatic. A perfect tie in to Kingdom Hearts, while also setting up potential storylines for KH3(whenever that decides to be announced). I despised 356/2 days, absolutely loathed it this is such a breathe of fresh air. True its a hack and slash but there are so many minigames and story to tell its just a fantastic experience. The gameplay like any Kingdom Hearts game is the typical God of War hack and slash with reaction commands every now and then. I like how they added D links and I LOVE the new combat system, its very enjoyable. The one problem with the gameplay is the camera mode, they fixed the problem in KH2 but it came back in this one, granted it does not really effect the game play but when your trying to fight the boss and it locks on to a crate it can kind of make or break you. Which now leads me to difficulty, this game is HARD. It is very challenging especially on Proud Mode, I underestimated the level of difficulty. It seems all those fans that complained about how easy KH 2 was can breathe a fresh air because BBS especially on proud mode is HARD. I think I died 6 times in the Sleeping Beauty world, very difficult. This game is well worth the money, well worth the wait and an incredible experience. 5/5 easily, I hope I helped. The 1 star review for this amazing game is just a huge hell no.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. The graphics would be outstanding on the PS2, so getting that level of quality on the PSP is no small achievement. While each character has his or her own adventure, the deeper truths of the story are only revealed after playing through all three storylines. The minigames can be quite challenging and provide a nice break from the action. I would recommend this game to any Kingdom Hearts fan or any fan of action RPGs in general. Pick up this game, youll be glad you did.
