Like a lot of people I was skeptical when I bought my first Kingdom Hearts game. I mean come on!! An RPG set in Disney movie worlds? How can you pull that off? Well, Square did pull it off and Kingdom Hearts is now one of my favourite series. Birth By Sleep is a very good prequel. Is it the best of the series? I dont know, honestly all of the Playstation games are very good.... Either way this one does hold its own against its bigger brothers on the PS2, and that is saying a lot, especially for a portable. Yes, it does suffer from some of the flaws that come with being a portable game. The worlds, for the most part, dont seem as big and as detailed as the PS2 games, but you should expect that given the platform. Sometimes its hard to see what you are doing and you just end up mashing buttons to kill your enemies. Also, for whatever reason there is very little of Final Fantasy in this game. Only a few characters make a few quick appearances, which to me is a big loss. Part of the magic of these games is the merger between FF and Disney...... And you wont be fighting along side Goofy or Donald Duck in this game, but honestly, that wasnt a big loss for me as I found them to be a bit annoying....... Some people complain that Kingdom Hearts is too easy..... but guess what? This game is also meant for younger gamers so yes the normal setting is very easy. If you are an experienced gamer, crank up the difficulty level and enjoy. Each story line is a bit short (about 10 hours if you dont spend time levelling up) but they are fun and you do get three unique story lines, all of them pretty good. Some of the voice acting is weak, but it doesnt detract from the overall experience(specifically portions of Terras line, and a few of the Disney characters need some work).

Great psp game. Has good graphics, game play, and three intertwining stories as it follows the three protagonists. All stories have different and overlapping point of views, as well as unique game play to each character. And has a fascinating conclusion. Its a long game and definitely worth the price. I, myself have put over 90 hours of total game play in the past few years. And definitely has some replay value. A worthy recommendation for psp owners or kingdom hearts fans.

Let me first note, i have been a longtime fan of this series. I have played Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, and i am about to beat it with Aqua, and yes i know you have to play with all 3 to get the main plot. In anycase let me say in general Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep could have EASILY been on the PS3, its graphics are really amazing and as is the storyline. At first glance i was kind of mad about the voice acting for Aqua and Terra, but after awhile it seems like the voice actors make a great transition and you get a feel like they belong in the universe. For combat, i thought it would be complex with these new Battle mechanics but essentially it was very easy to get into after awhile because the controls are similiar to the PS2 controller except with a new SHOTLOCK system which is like a homing device for your character to get multiple attacks on the enemies. As for the bad, and my only two gripes with this game, was that the worlds were a little bit smaller, but i give this a pass because it is a PSP and the game designers can only do so much in one little disc. Also the boss fights can be REALLY difficult or the enemies, but that was most likely because they run a pattern, but it can be complex if you are underleveled. Overall this game is worth a buy and the full price if you ask me, because it is exactly a Kingdom Hearts style game, it has 3 different stories with 3 characters, some collectibles, new worlds which is definitely a huge upgrade over past Kingdom Hearts games and especially a hidden part of the game once you get all of Xehanorts diarys.

I didnt get to play much of the game before my brother snatched it from me. And he has had a blast. Both of us didnt start gaming until about 6 months ago, so for him to stay with one game and actually progress at a steady pace is really good. He enjoys it a lot, its easy to learn, and its really fun.

Nothing special but not too bad either. Just the endless repeating is kinda boring and the side-quests are not that great. Story was rather hollow and uninteresting but it was ok at times, i enjoyed it to some extent. Liked Aqua and Mickey the most. I consider 358/2 Days way better than this one. My favorite games are I and 358. Then II. The other games are decent but not a favorite.

A great installment to the Kingdom Hearts series. Good Storyline, Voice-Acting, and Music The battle system is similar yet revamped for the title. No need to have played the others to enjoy, but definitely would add to the experience. Good replay value having 3 different story modes. All the good parts of what you would expect from a Kingdom Hearts game. A good play.

As a life long Kingdom Hearts fan, I can safely ay I love this game and I am very, very glad I got it. The story is broken into three different perspectives, which you have to play through in order to unlock the final ending that reveals the hidden truth. The perspectives are the three playable characters, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. I chose Ventus because I prefer speedy combos over magic and power. I am still playing through his campaign, but I can tell yu right now, this game is worth the money. Especially if you are a Kingdom Hearts fan trying to see the story in chronological order, like me.

The game is well made & love the store-line but its sad that terra lost his body to the bad guy and i prey he gets it back in KH3 for PS3/PSV soon. Ven looking like roaxs was bit confusing but i peace the whole store-line and know why now and i hope him and his friends come back in KH3 to stop the evil mastermind again but with fail. And save hot and cute aqua who is tap in the darkness realm. I find it funny that she and sora never met in the realm of darkness on the same beach when sora got trap too. Very weird on that part their.

This game is amazing. Great graphics and its like having my old PS2 on the go. Great graphics, music and acting. I am just getting into the meat of the story and it is giving certain answers missing from the series. If you have a PSP you must get this game. Sorry PSP Go...But if you dont have a PSP you should consider it. One of my all-time faves!

Ive checked around, and this problem is apparently common among Birth by Sleep owners. But its also misunderstood by people who never experienced it (theyll give helpful advice about how your hand is probably too close to the Home key or youre pushing too hard against the back). For those of you who havent had this glitch its like this: In the middle of the game (sometimes several times in the middle of a battle, without pausing, making you lose), it pops up as if you pressed Home. Only, I did several experiments. I went through a situation where I figured it was gonna do it (top three besides battles are when you try to Install the software, moving between screens, pausing to the menu screen) and put the PSP on Hold. No way I could have pressed Home but it did it anyway. So then I thought maybe somethings wrong with the memory card? Popped it out, and the game still did this. Could it be the PSP? Nope. It did NOT run this way with any other game I tried to play. It seems to be the UMD itself too, not the software or firmware or anything like that. Im likely going to need to buy a new disc.
