It has padding and seems to be well made. The material is thick and durable. Great purchase!

Was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and pretty this case is. I bought it to fit my 17 inch HP and it does fit nicely. One drawback is that my cooler fan will not fit with it in the case. Love the extra pockets for papers and the mouse. Overall a very nice lightweight case for the price.
