The interior is really as padded as it looks in the pictures, super-padded, and very soft. There is even a padded edge that wraps around your laptop to protect it. I wanted a case that fits very snugly, because I put this into a backpack with other things I carry. i bought the smallest size, which is a bit too snug for the 14 inch Lenovo I have, but still fits! > 24 hourThis sleeve has exceptional protection components. The front storage pocket has plenty of room for a mouse, charging cable, phone, pens and pencil, and paperwork. The zipper closure keeps everything secure. 4 stars instead of 5 because the carrying handle isnt wide enough to fit over a rolling suitcase handle. Since I seldom travel this is a minor inconvenience. If you travel a lot consider other sleeves too.
