Klein Tools NCVT2PKIT Non-Contact Voltage Tester with Outlet Tester, 12-48V AC or 48 - 1000V AC Dual Range for Broad Application

First time trying to use it I was getting intermittent beeps even with the entire circuit cut to the whole house. Is it my house with a random live wire or is it this tester?? So I call the manufacturer and they let me know it was probably defective. A hassle and potentially life threatening. It was even at times not picking up a live outlet— and my dog even had it light up. I get that it picks up magnetic fields, but it was not consistent. Returned via Amazon and don’t want to mess with the hassle of getting a new one. Will opt for multimeter instead.

For now it’s accurate I like that you can use it in 2 modes it is a bit helpful but I prefer a fluke .. nothing wrong with this one it’s a bit too sensitive to me I like how consistent and accurate fluke has been, maybe I’m biased

This is very good when trying to determine if theres a breakage/no electricity flow in a cable/wire.

You obviously get what you pay for but this served Its purpose.

These two together are a far better value than you will find at a local store. The plug wiring checker is awesome, if you have to replace even one outlet this tool alone will ensure that you didnt mess the wiring up.

Appropriately sensitive and totally performs as advertised.
