> 24 hourWhen I tried to take off the OEM oil filter on my Yamaha R3, it wouldnt come off no matter how hard I turned it with my bare hands. I did not want to buy a wrench just for taking off the filter, so I punched a screwdriver through the filter and turned it. The OEM filter was trashed but still wouldnt come off. In the end, I had to buy a wrench at Home Depot just to take it off. When I put this K&N filter on, Oh~ My~ God~, it was super easy to just turn to hex nut to correct torque. I bought two of these. The other one is for next years oil change. Never going back to the OEM filter ever again.

> 24 hourI started using Hastings filters on my 07 600RR because they had always been superior with my cars in the past, but due to limited space and the lack of a nut on the end, they were almost impossible to get off. This K&N filter is great quality and has the nut on the end for easy installation/removal.

> 24 hourThe 17mm nut on top makes this filter so much easier to remove. The fact that its K&N makes it that much better. I have a 2007 Speed Triple. Filter access is very much limited. This is THE filter to use.

> 24 hourYesterday I took my brand new V Star 950 Tourer in for first service at 600 miles. I supplied my own K&N oil filter (which I purchased from Amazon.com) for the oil/filter change. The service manager said Ok they would use it. In fact, he informed me that they sold the same K&N filters right there at the dealership. Later that day, as I was checking out and paying the bill, the dealership owner made a snide remark about my using a second rate K&N filter and implied that it could result in denial of a warranty claim if I had engine problems. Well after I got home and thought about it I wrote Mr. Dealer a concise e-mail to let him know that his comment disturbed me so much that unless he provides me a written affirmation that using a K&N oil filter CANNOT and WILL NOT affect any potential future warranty claims that I will CANCEL my 48-month Yamaha Extended Service plan and get a refund. I have 30 days to do that and receive a full refund (minus a small admin fee). I am anxiously awaiting Mr. Dealers response. But regardless of what the dealer says to convince me otherwise, I intend to cancel the Y.E.S. plan before my 30 day period ends. Why wait until 3 or 4 years down the road to find out the $700 Yamaha Extended Service Plan is WORTHLESS? By that time I could only be refunded a small fraction of the original contract purchase price. Anyhow, I am still angry and disturbed and plan to tell my story to K&N directly. Im sure K&N also will be angry and disturbed about this dealership implication.

> 24 hourI ordered this to use on my Kawasaki VN750 the one I took off happened to be a 202 which was a bit larger yet still the same size where it fits onto the bike. Im not really sure if a smaller filter is better because youll get a little bit better flow or if bigger is better because it can hold more contaminants - obviously both work on the VN750 and I will probably stick with the smaller because I think flow will be better and Ill be changing it too often to feel that the slightly larger size is needed to hold more dirt.

> 24 hourI did an oil change on my CBR600 F4i, and it had an OEM Honda Oil Filter, and it was garbage. After 90+ minutes of trying to wrestle it off, I stuck a screw driver through it to remove it. But this K&N had a removal nut on the end of the filter for easy addition and removal of it. Dont know if I noticed any performance increase, but for the same price as a OEM, I would do this over OEM any day.

> 24 hourAbsolutely the best and cheapest KN-204 I could find. this specific model number is hard to find everywhere I check its always sold out. on top of that the price for one of these at lets say autozone is around 15 dollars, while amazon sells it for only around 9 dollars which is a killer deal when compared. If youre looking for this specific model number I wouldnt look anywhere else to get it.

> 24 hourInstalled these on a pair of 2013 Yamaha VX waverunners last year, when it was nearly impossible to remove the OEM oil filters. This year, using the built-in nut, they came right off and on. The nut is easily accessible with a wrench or ratchet, where there is nearly no room for a standard filter wrench. Bonus that K&N has a great reputation for filters. If you have VX 100 wave runners, buy the K&N filters with the nuts!

> 24 hourJust what I needed. I use this on a Honda Goldwing. A normal filter is hard to remove because the lack of space around the filter. This puppy is a breeze to remove because of the nut on the top. On the downside, the nut is a 17mm, so its the only nut of that size on the bike. It would be nice if it was a 19mm to match the existing 19mm hardware on the bike. However, the adjustable wrench in the toolbag is sufficient, so no need to pack another wrench. Still,... just sayin. I have no way to measure the particulate efficiency of this over another brands filter, but I change my filters well before the recommended interval. Therefore, this more than meets my needs in an oil filter. The big plus is the built-in nut. Pros: - built-in nut makes for easy removal - black color blends into the belly of the bike Cons: - well, that 17mm sized nut, but...
