My application has a cross member right next to is and a radiator infront of it and the exhaust manifold on the other side (great way to heat the oil on those cold days *sarcasm*) none of my filter wrenches fit, I have 4 different types, but a 1 combo wrench fits great. Just cant turn more that 1/8 turn at a time (stupid engineering). Its also very nice to know its one of the best filters out there according to many tests Ive seen. Cost a few bucks more but Im not willing to trust my engine to the orange filter than people have found has holes in it from the factory.

These are the best filters on the market. The weld on nut at the bottom is 1 so just need a 1 socket. goes on and off with zero effort since you do not have to try and hand unwind. I use with synthetic oil and change once a year.

I try to use K&N Gold exclusively because they consistently rank highest in tests; you show the gold in the photo but you shipped me the Performance filter. Still a good filter but not as good as the Gold; I used it anyway.

K&n is the only filters I use on my vehicles and here on amazon they are a great price! Will keep getting from here! I’ve done research on filters and I believe K&n is the best

Ive always had good luck with K&N products and continue to like them including this HP-1017. This filter goes on and off well and the 1 nut on the bottom of the filter allows for a reliable way to remove the filter in tight spots or when the filter is on very tight and regular oil filter wrenches are not practical. I would like to have some of the black rubbery grip stuff on the bottom so that I could take it off by hand (some Fram filters have this and it is great). Ive never taken one of these apart or examined it scientifically so I cannot vouch for its effectiveness but subjectively, I think it works well and Ive not had any engine failures while using it.

Not sure why this comes up that it does not fit my truck, it does fit. Using these for years.

High quality filter...K&N is the best hands down. If you want to prolong the life of your engine, buy K&N oil filters. I have never been disappointed. I also use Dimple motor oil magnets for the filter and a Dimple oil drain plug. A winning combination! I use these products on all of my vehicles. Highly recommend!

Great product wish they package it better

I have used these oil filters on my Pontiac Grand Prix GXP for several oil changes now. It is such a breeze being able to use a box wrench to get these off and not have to use a oil filter wrench. I appreciate that these are made for use with synthetic oils as that is all that I use. If you are going to put quality oil in your vehicle, dont sell yourself cheap by putting a low quality filter on. I will continue to buy these for my vehicle.
