The price was cheaper via amazon for this than most of the better filters I could find and living overseas (US military stationed in Belgium with NATO) oil filters for US spec cars are hard to come by and cost a lot of money. With the free shipping this filter was a great buy and cost less than the MSRP of comparable and cheaper quality filters. The 1-inch nut added appeal as one can easily remove with a socket wrench and extension which will help keep oil off your hands and arms....also the spot where the filter is situated on my Jeep Patrio it was not possible to get a good grip to properly hand tighten the filter...a little torque with the socket wrench and the filter was secured in place with no hassles....and the nut assures that I will be able to remove with no hassles either.

> 24 hourI have used these oil filters on my Pontiac Grand Prix GXP for several oil changes now. It is such a breeze being able to use a box wrench to get these off and not have to use a oil filter wrench. I appreciate that these are made for use with synthetic oils as that is all that I use. If you are going to put quality oil in your vehicle, dont sell yourself cheap by putting a low quality filter on. I will continue to buy these for my vehicle.

Love the easy wrench off feature, 17mm and give it a twist, no more figuring out which wrench and then wrestling the filter and wrench together to twist off. If you are doing oil changes yourself, get this filter, and get it from Amazon, Walmart is as much as $7 more for the same filter.

> 24 hourGreat oil filter. Youre getting premium K&N performance and the convenience of the wrench-off style. I have a vehicle which makes reaching the oil filter with a traditional filter wrench quite a pain. Reaching up with a long socket or wrench is much easier. There isnt much to say here beyond that...it cleans the oil!

> 24 hourI usually use Purolator but the filter on my Jeep is only accessible through a hole in a skid plate. The 1 nut on the top eases oil changes. They seem to be as good as any other premium filter.
