These help the oil stay cleaner longer. Using the 1017 on my 5.3 Trailblazer. The nut on the dome makes removal easy. I have not experienced the leakage that some reprort.

I have this set up to autoship every 6 months and it is fantastic. Whenever the filter shows up, I know its time to change my oil. Filter works fantastic but it is located in a terrible location on my vehicle.
