Kohler K-GP77006-RP GP77006-rp Ceramic Valve, One Size, Rough Plate

Works as advertised, but there is a noticeable stiffness that other replacement parts do not have. Not pleased, but not worth swapping out since we dont use the faucet that much.

Worked perfectly to repair my 20+ year old dripping faucet. I applied WD40 to all the threaded parts of the faucet the day before I attempted the repair and everything worked out smoothly.

My faucet developed a leak around the handle. After some research I found the Kohler parts # and Kohler supplier DPL on Amazon and bought this item. It has been three months since I installed the valve. So far it functions well, no more leaks around handle, and the handle feels smooth too. However, I can only give it three stars because of the following: 1) The water flow is reduced after installing this valve. This is due to the fact that the two window openings on the valve body are smaller than that on the original one. 2) The size of the hex nut also changed. I used a deep socket (5/8?) to take out the old one without difficulty; however, the same socket cannot be used to install the new one because the hex nut is larger. I had major trouble to find the right tool to do it. I finally used a standard-depth socket, which barely grabbed the hex nut, to install it. 3) Most importantly, I was fooled into thinking that I was buying a genuine Kohler part. I only found out today that it was not. I got the part from Kohler, which is exactly same as my old part, but different from this one. I also spoke with Kohler representative; and I was told that they have not changed the design of this valve since 1998.

The valve on our bath became stuck on about a year and a half ago. I panicked and broke the handle and was able to get the water off. I didnt have the knowledge to fix it myself at the time or the funds to hire someone, so the tub sat since then. I finally watched some YouTube videos for tub repair and took on the task of fixing the tub myself. Once all the parts came in, it only took about a total of an hour labor tops, and just over $100 to make the repairs myself.

Perfect for my Kohler in wall faucet. Price is great.

It was the part I needed

I originally ordered GP1092203 and that is for the same faucet, but a newer revision. If you have the older version then you will need this all brass and copper valve (the good old quality Kohler) otherwise the newer part number is largely plastic and wont even be close to fitting. Unfortunately the only way I know how to tell the difference is disassemble the faucet before ordering the replacement part.

Fits great a hair 1/4 inche short put a washer to lift it.

The one I got was brass, which was just like the other one (I got both a clockwise and counter-clockwise). Replacing both hot and cold. However removing the old set was not easy; they did not unscrew easily. But the new set bolted right in.
