This is my second one. I recently just bought it and this tape is great..so great that someone took it on my job site :(. Will be getting another one.

Measures good

This tape measure worked great for about 12 uses before the locking mechanism broke. It was still usable for a while even though I had to manually push the tape back up into the device but now it is completely unusable and will not let me feed the tape back inside. I only got this measuring tape at about two months ago so I am pretty disappointed.

I’m really surprised how sturdy this feels. Easy grip. Color is easy to find when mixed w tools. The button on top fits thumb well while sizing. I will say if ANYTHING goes wrong, I will say it’s not the manufacturer but the delivery by UPS- threw my delivery (only item in wrapping) was tossed from gate.

I have always used the button to stop the tape measure from retracting with previous versions of tape measures ive owned. Its very convenient for the tape to stop from retracting automatically until I press the button. No wonder its one of the best sellers on amazon.

All I can say is this company if they can get the foundation spring inside the mechanism to be made of high quality stainless that doesnt rust and break theyll have an indestructible measuring tape I love these tapes the coating and the material the physical tape its made from is entirely Superior to Craftsman FatMax Stanley products hands down
