Komelon SL2825 Self Lock 25-Foot Power Tape

Its not bulky. I can handle it better. Its also built well.

Bought 2 of these because weve had one from this Komelon brand for years that worked great, but eventually broke. Got 2 specifically of the same brand since we were so happy with the old one. These 2 are both junk. From the start the self-locking feature didnt work well. Kept thinking it was just a fluke that theyd slowly give way and retract without depressing the button. Since we were busy on a project and needed them, we didnt return them and should have. The unintended retraction just got worse and worse. Instead of taking a minute to slowly start retracting, theyve gotten faster and faster at retracting back into the holder. 6 months later they work about as well as a regular tape measure, retracting instantly and theres no way to stop them. Pressing the button just speeds the retraction if course. Both of these bought on the same Amazon order are doing the same. Both garbage!! Will move in to a different brand at this point.

I love this tape measure. Use it at work for some of my orders and it works perfect. Heavy duty.

Why the average power tape dues not lock automatically I will never know. What a PIA if you forget to lock your tape, and it goes rushing back into the case before you know it. These lock when you pull the tape out ... and only go back into the case when YOU decide it is time. MY new standard that is for certain. These are will made, good belt clip, and not too heavy.

Works like it should, nice buttery smooth action, easy to read, the button doesnt stick or jam. Feels good in the hand too. Would recommend.

Very handy especially i just bought a new house and been measuring furnitures, appliances, everything! Works very well.

I work in Field research for Retail stores, primarily grocery stores. This means going to places like Target or Kroger to measure shelving and report product placement. I bought one of these after breaking too many of those circular pocket measuring tapes like the ones they give you for free at furniture stores. Its sturdy, but a little heavy. Carrying it on my belt can get a little annoying after about half an hour but luckily thats all i really need it for.
