L2 R2 Trigger Hand Grip Shell Controller Protective Case for Sony PS Vita 1000 (Black)

Review
> 24 hourIt is unfortunate that this seems to be the only style of l2 r2 grip available for the ps vita 1000, as it is significantly less comfortable to hold than the vita itself. The triggers are nice to have, but just not worth the comfort trade off these are super uncomfortable. They should be 1/3rd of the price that they are.

> 24 hourPROS: -Way more comfortable than without it -Having L2/R2 triggers is a must for PSone games, and remote play of PS3/PS4 -Looks really nice on the system -All the ports are easily accessed CONS: -Will NOT close completely if youve a front/back/both screen protector. Only the side snaps work. I havent had it long enough to say whether or not itll be good enough and last. It does feel secure enough, but if it fails I will update this -The trigger buttons are very meh. They have a long travel distance. But, they work. Just takes some getting used to. -While its nice that this isnt overly bulky, it does feel very flimsy and delicate. -Its thicc where it shouldnt be. The Home, Start, and Select buttons are a bit too receded. Still accessible, but a bit annoying. More so with the Start/Select buttons. The Home button is more bearable since it bigger. -Because of the hand grips and trigger buttons, this roughly doubles the thickness of the Vita, and in turn makes it unable to use a standard travel case. I have to use a Mumba hard case that was made to fit a Nintendo Switch and a couple extra joycons etc. SUMMARY: It fine if youve got a screen protector, but a lot better if you dont. It should also be cheaper. Like, $15 total. Ive attached a fair amount of photos to help you decide for yourselves since this listing doesnt even show the trigger buttons, and someone answered a question incorrectly saying it fits with a glass screen protector. UPDATE: Added a few pictures. It turns out you CAN close it all the way with a screen protector, but it takes a decent amount of force. I said to heck with it and figured the flimsy plastic would break, but I got it closed. You can see how its barely staying closed. But, its been a few days with use and it hasnt broken (yet?) so I figured I would update this. So in other, it might or might not break if you get it to close all the way.

> 24 hourIt was more expensive than what I would like to spend on a case but the improved ergonomics is worth it imo. Looks really good with my white vita!

> 24 hourLike many, I found long play sessions on my Vita OLED model a little uncomfortable and wanted a bit more area to grip. This case did the trick, and with the triggers, I can play my older PS1 titles without the inconsistency of using the back touch pad corners unaided as L2/R2 buttons (which all too often I would fail to hit just right). The case by itself isn’t terribly sturdy, and removal of the Vita requires great care so as not to damage the fragile clips that snap together to enclose the Vita. But once installed, it’s a snug fit, and would probably take the hit of a light drop and keep the Vita from being damaged. Probably. I’d have preferred a rubberized or silicone option in this form factor, even without L2/R2 triggers, but the only option like that is no longer manufactured, and sells used at obscene prices. This works fine and didn’t break the bank.

> 24 hourIts true the clips and case are small, thin and can be easily broken, when the Vita is not installed. With that said, the case fits my PS Vita like a glove and the triggers do not feel cheap at all. Holding it takes some getting used to, but my hands are fairly large and the extra girth is a welcome change in my opinion. Ive taken this with me in my back-pack, back and forth daily and it shows no sign of breaking. I should have bought this years ago when the PS Vita was still in production.

> 24 hourI have big hand so handling a vita is pretty uncomfortable without a grip this grip fits perfectly and feels good in the hands.

> 24 hourThe product is very cool, great purchase. Something to improve on is its sturdiness, some parts, specially in the front part, are kind of fragile. You just have to be careful and everything is good. Recommended
