This is a great stand. I have been using it inside of my kitchen to view recipes with my iPad.

Holds my slim 9.7inch iPad pretty securely in either vertical or horizontal orientation — with or without a thin case on the iPad. Small enough to hold a smartphone, as well. Works best on a flat hard surface, like a desk or table or nightstand. More lightweight than it looks, yet seems solid.

Love it, I use it for my tablet and cell phone.
