Easy install, wish it was a little brighter

Got these to mount in a boat. Love that they can be rotated to direct light where you want it. Bright lights and exactly what we were looking for. Bought several of them to place around the inside of the boat.

Plastic, but well built, LED, switch, pivot all work well. The plastic covers on the side to disguise screw placement fit tightly and dont fall off. I have been looking for a well built light for the back of my camper shell partially for use in finding things at night and partially for car camping. swivel ability means direct light when you want it and indirect when you dont.

It is really small, but I read that in the reviews and wanted a small light that I could leave on and not drain the battery. It is very bright for a small light. If you want a bigger light they have the 12 and 18 to choose from.

I installed this in the battery compartment in my boat, and now I can see well inside there. Not very bright, but OK for a small area.

Fairly small but works fine. Not a huge amount of light but for night fishing I dont want to be blinded either.

This is super bright. I like how it swivels so I can light up the rear passenger compartment or focus the light into my lap if needed. I almost bought the larger one but this works fine,

Pretty small, but seems to be well made. Mounted under the cowl of my boat. Havent tried it out yet though so I cant give knock any stars off for that.

I bought this light to use inside a truck topper. I liked the idea of not having to wire a switch. I wired the light and the light stopped working. I left a rather bad review of this product at first, but to my surprise the company contacted me and provided a free light to replace my light. I was in the process of taking out my old light when I discovered that my installation was substandard. The light didnt work because of a faulty crimp I made at a butt connection. I since have used this light and it works great for my application. I sometimes wished I would have bought the 12 version. I would gladly buy from Pilot again due to their customer service. The customer service was excellent and I feel bad for making a initial bad review. The light could be improved by making the mounting location out of the same aluminum the housing is made of. I am a average home handy man and wiring a light like this is very simple. I chose to use an inline 3 amp fuse I had laying around the house. I wired the light directly to the battery terminals in my truck. I rate this light at 4 stars because of the plastic mounting tabs. I cannot mention the customer service enough. They are a great group of people. I will buy from them again.
