Did not use the remote control, i just plugged them in and used as is. You do need a usb plug in base. Absolutely beautiful for an all white party decor set up

I’ve purchased these twice now in hopes the first was just problematic, but just 2 weeks out of my return window, these have completely died again. What a waste of money. I purchased December 13th and they’re out of life now

Be careful unraveling them but worked great with my backdrop. Hooks aren’t big they are small.
