> 24 hourMy only complaint is one of the brackets was slightly bent down towards my hood. This resulted in the screw holding down the ditch light to screw into directly into the paint of my hood. The bracket is too thick to easily bend up, so I had to cram a piece of rubber in-between the bolt and hood. Other than that, pretty cool bracket. Oh, and I noticed some reviews stated the paint was chipped on their brackets. Mine was perfectly fine until I had to try and fix the bent bracket with a wrench. The paint on the brackets is super weak, so I understand how people have received a chipped up paint job.

> 24 hourI saw the reviews about the coating not being very good. I was pleased to see that the coating on mine was not chipped off. I installed them the same day, and after two days rust started coming out from some areas. I should have spray painted them before installing. Other than that inconvenience, they are beefy and fit perfectly. Just spray them with paint before installing.

> 24 hourI have not installed lights yet as of this post. I read other reviews about the finish and I had some trepidation about painting or powder coating before installing. If you are looking at these you have probably read forums and compared prices to other name brand items. When the package arrived, the two mounts were individually bubbled wrap. Tightly fitted with a note about returns and/or refunding through the actual company. Mine appeared to be powder coated without any chips or flaking....perfect condition I would rate. I too hold high expectations. The thickness is outstanding and although no lights are mounted, you could do pull ups on these. They clear the windshield and wipers no matter how they are mounted (forward or back on slots). About i 10-15 minute installation after OCD recheck of spacing and tightness. Lights will be here on the 5th and switches are on their way. Only if something changes on the negative will I add to this but it definitely seems like quality on fit and finish are great with an effortless installation. They are low profile and I do not see how another 30-50 dollars will buy you more.

> 24 hourI know these say they are for the second gen Tacomas but I was hoping they would work for a first gen too. I had in mind they probably wouldn’t work but I was willing to do some custom modifications to them. Long story short, they still did not work and I would have had to try and form the steel EXACT to the bottom of the hood which was gonna be hard as this steel was very thick and sturdy… which leads me to say that if you are purchasing for second gen Tacoma, I would highly recommend. They are definitely stout and not too complicated to install.

> 24 hourI took a chance and bought these for my GX460. They work but they hit the plastic cowl on the passenger side. You have to either notch the bracket or the cowl, otherwise your light will sit crooked and the bracket will wear through the cowl. This wasn’t a huge deal for me, the brackets are very sturdy (no bouncing lights!) so I just notched the bracket. These brackets are very low profile which is nice. I wish they were a single bolt design so that you don’t have to worry about misalignment the hood. I removed the front bolt, installed the bracket, then removed the rear bolt and swung the bracket into place to install the rear bolt. This minimized any chance of misaligning the hood but is a little bit of a pain.

> 24 hourThese are great on durability & thickness; however, I wish the tab that the lights actually mount to were about 1/2 taller & had a slot about another inch towards the front of the vehicle for the light to slide forward in/on. Rain for wanting it taller is so the supplied bolts arent so close to my hood, (scratched my paint a little bit), and reason for wanting a bolt slot towards the front of that tab is the lights hit my A pillars when I open the hood. Dont get me wrong, its easy to install, great price & seems to be great durability, just could use a couple things to improve on. Id love to get another set if these things are implemented for my other Tacoma! Installed on 07 Tacoma & wanting to do it on my 13 Tacoma

> 24 hourThese do exactly what they are inteded for and nothing else. Notes worth noting: - These bois are THICCC! Seriously, they will not shake on trails, or at speed, period. I live on a bumpy dirt road full of elk and other wildlife, so needed something solid that actually worked. After looking at a hundred different versions, I decided on something simple, low pro, and wasnt willing to spend more than $40 on something so simple. There are a ton of cheaper versions out there, but they are all made with much thinner gauge steel and will shake at speed or an trail, guaranteed. Sorry mall crawlers. - The overall finish on the product I received was actually pretty good. I didnt feel like I needed to paint them as others have noted in reviews, but it seems like results may vary here, so we will come back to this in a few months if I see any changes. - As others have noted, these are pretty darn low profile, and even with the included mounting bolts its a tighter than skinny jeans after one too many burritos. I actually just flipped the bolts upside down for my application which worked out perfectly and actually looks cleaner. See the pics for reference here. Overall I would buy them again, and will report back if anything changes. Also, this should go without saying but, please mount your ditch lights correctly at a roughly 10*~15* angle and never use when on public roads or with oncoming traffic. Dont be that guy.

> 24 hourSeems like they wouldve been great, but didnt fit my application; about 1/4 too long. A different brand, same model application, fits, but theyre nowhere near as stiff as these
