I put this one together pretty quickly. The design is really cool and eye catching. The banshees will attach to the base for display. The wings stand out around all of my other Legos and I can tell this will be one of the first ones someone notices when they look at my collection.

I loved this product and it challenged my son, and he loved putting it together.

This is a wonderful build and is amazing how they created the world of Avatar.

If you like Avatar or someone you know does this would be a great gift for a child who enjoys Legos and the movies. It is not a difficult set to put together and would be good for the imaginative child. As with all Legos I think they are a bit overpriced, but there is a nostalgia to them.

If you are considering buying this, I recommend taking a close look at set #75574. It costs much more but it is a much better set with more playability and more fidelity to the movie. I think the rendering of the banshees in the two sets is illustrative of what you do and do not get. This set gets you two banshees but the wings are only somewhat movable, and the legs and body are minimally present (if at all). The banshees are always in flight mode. In set #75574, you get one banshee but it is all there, legs, fully movable wings. You can pose this banshee in flight or on the ground. I think if I were a hardcore fan of the film, I would want set #75574. The banshees in 75572 feel cut-rate. Okay, that said, this set does give you two banshees. When placed on the terrain model which has a waterfall and floating islands, they look good as a set piece. The Jake mini figure has a goofy surprised look on his face. Neytiri looks right. The terrain model has fuchsia colored plants and, my favorite, glow-in-the-dark carrots. This is the first set that I know of with this part. So there you go. The build is fairly easy. The banshees are constructed the same, just with different coloring. My eyes are always distracted by the ball fittings used to keep the wing sheets on. The wings are simple technic frames that arent terribly realistic from the underside. The banshee heads are good. The tails are good. I still recommend the more expensive set...

My kiddos are Lego guys. Another coincidence was Avatar trailer and Jake & Neytiri’s First Banshee Flight happened same day I can’t express how much my son loved that moment. Plastic sheets for the wings are really nice. I can definitely say one more excellent Lego set added to Lego collection for my boys.
