Loved building this and adding it to my collection, great build, lots of scene options in it. My only complaint would be the willows “leaves” don’t stay in for squat.

This is a terrific set for intermediate builders. With 573 pieces it will take more than an hour to build. The set and mini-figures are great. Remember when Harry and Ron use an old car to get to Hogwarts and they are captured and abused by the Whomping Willow? This set has a great big beautiful tree that turns (!) complete with multiple branches, a secret entrance and a way to capture the car. (The branches do not move.) You get the car and part of Hogwarts, a section that includes a tower with an owlery, a dorm room and Snapes Potions classroom and lab. There are fun bits and bobs like luggage, a lantern, wands , a newspaper and candle, etc. You get six great mini-figures, which is always the appeal of the sets: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Snape, Seamus Finnigan and Argus Filch, the caretaker. You also get a Hedwig figure! The build has a number of big and special pieces, and is not particularly difficult but there are almost 600 pieces, so probably not fun for little kids. If you are buying a gift for a Harry Potter fan, they would love getting the Whomping Willow.

The excitement of our 8 yr. old when she opened the box, fun to put together and she loves playing with this set.

Great Christmas gift

My granddaughter was thrilled with this Lego set. She put it together along with the larger Hogwarts set and spent hours in happy play.
