This is the second time we have ordered this product and it has had missing parts both times. Cool toy if we could ever get it together.

LEGO is never a let down!

The build is only somewhat challenging, but it was fun to put together due to the special engineering of this contraption. The Thwomp falls and catapults sparky (flame ball guy )after it passes the center pole 3 times when Mario goes back and forth on the scull raft. Its cute as it resembles the play model in the video game and the Legos really suits the early Mario 8-bit/16-bit aesthetics. Great for kids, nerds, Otakus and Gamers who already have the Mario Starter kit.

Grandson loves this series and wants all the Mario themed sets! Tons of fun for everyone!

Surprisingly, is one of my favorite of the super mario sets, for how simple it is, when the thwomp drops, is very satisfying.

I am always impressed how Lego can assemble something with great functionality and be so simple at the same time. Taking Mario and sliding him across a platform all while slowly dropping the Thwomp enemy. I also have a bit of bias towards the main enemy in this set. I like the design of the character. Lego really captured its look. I also like how the bad guy plays like it does in the games. One of my favorite sets in the series. I would recommend this as a part of a boss or for a final boss level build with other lava based sets of the Lego Super Mario series.
