LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” 42125 - Champion GT Series Sports Race Car, Exclusive Collectible Model Kit, Collectors Set for Adults to Build

This set was a joy to put together. I love the European Endurance Series. The AF Corse Ferraris are the best looking GT machines, bar none. My only complaint would be, the car should be lower. Other than that, its perfect.

Tons of fun to build and look at. Certainly worth getting.

This was NOT packaged at all. The box had clearly been opened and poorly retaped. This was NOT a new item, and for the price, absolutely inexcusable. Theres no way to know whats broken or missing. Read the other reviews, this is not unusual for this item evidently. I rolled the dice hoping for a better turn-out. I was wrong. STAY AWAY!!

A great way to relax. Lego quality and assembly manual beats the off-brands hands down. Excellent gift for the Ferrari fan

I have several lego technic kits and this one easily falls apart with light handling. Details are good, not excellent.

This took me 8 long hours plus to put together and at the end of the process I had to repeatedly take the car apart to fix the back tires. At the end of the day it took me days to constantly fix it. After all is said and done I have it in a thousand pieces and I am going to sell it in a garage sail for $20.

I consider this to be a midrange set. There is no gearbox to build, so its slightly easier for younger builders. Its a pretty large set (see picture in comparison to the Bugatti Chiron set). Overall, it was a fun build even if it wasnt as challenging as other sets. The wheels seemed to sit a little high above the fenders more like an offroad vehicle than a race car due to the suspension springs, but thats just a nitpick. The only downside is the sheer amount of stickers. Full disclosure, I dont like Lego stickers. For a few dollars more, I would recommend the Lego Land Rover Defender instead as it was more challenging, has less stickers, and has better functionality.

There were a lot of missing parts on this item. Sent for missing parts from Lego twice and still have one missing piece. Lego was great with getting me the missing pieces but is was a distraction.

Im way on the wrong side of 30 and havent played with Legos in 25 years! I bought this on a whim, after returning to school (online), and found I need something to fiddle with while listening to lectures. This project completely reminded me of how much I love Legos! Ive since ordered several more models: Lieberherr R 9800, Porsche 911 RSR, Volvo Articulated Hauler, and Bugatti Chiron. My wife thinks its adorable and said no more Legos until Christmas, as she would like to get me the Lambo–I told her no promises! Im leaving a review to share my excitement of getting back into Legos, as Im sure there are people around my age—or older—who are teetering on the idea of buying some. Heres my advice: Just do it! Being that this was my first time with Legos in decades, I took my time and enjoyed the quality of the instructions and systematically aligning each part. The bags were all numbered and every part needed was included. Every part needing a decal was cleaned with rubbing alcohol, and the decal was positioned with tweezers. All in all, I covered about 6 hours of lectures while leisurely assembling the car. I went ahead and built it with lowered suspension. Im not sure why the instructions have it built lifted as Ironically, the manual preface provides pictures of Lars Krogh Jensen (Lego Designer) building the car with lowered suspension. Ive provided a pic, for reference, with the suspension circled. This is a big model, at least from what I remember of Legos! I have a pic of the car next to a large keyboard, for reference. Beautiful end result! I recommend this model to any Lego fan.
