I think this device is a real game changer when hooking up to a normal outlet at home. We use it when we are at home getting ready for a trip or just cleaning the RV. It is a real convenience to not have to drag the heavy RV cord out and then get out the 50 to 30 dog bone, then add the 30 to 20 adapter! Since you are only running 20 amps to get the refrigerator cold or keep the battery charged you can use any heavy duty outdoor rated extension cord. Just twist lock the adapter in place then pull the cord over an plug it in! Its heavy duty plastic construction and the electrical plug elements seem to be very solid.
