> 24 hourI bought this printer brand new many years ago, I loved it the best ever, I printed a lot of pictures using it and they came out beautifully..Alas my printer broke recently like before Christmas, I would love to have another one but the price although I guess compatible to others is a bit to much considering Lexmark has discontinued this model and has been discontinued for quite a while .

> 24 hourFor the price I cant complain. It is not the best printer Ive bought but Im hoping that it will last longer than the more expensive one that lasted only a year.

> 24 hourIt prints well and quickly. The set up was easy. It does seem to leave lines in the print though if you have a lot of one color. The other problem I have with it is it doesnt give you enough options for different sizes for printing. It has set sizes & doesnt let you pick your own sizes which I would rather do. Not all my printings are the sizes they have. Also with just one ink cartridge you go through your ink faster.

> 24 hourPros -For general printing, the print quality is decent. Neither horrible or great. -The scanner is quite good, and Ive never had problems with it. -Overall relatively simple/easy to use. Cons: -Since there is no black ink cartridge (only color), the ink comes out a gray green color rather than black. -Just plain bad for black and white printing, because if you run out of one color, anything thats supposed to be black comes out as whatever colors are left (red, blue, yellow). -If you NEED to print in black and white, expect to purchase new ink cartridges often. -2 ink cartridges cost about as much as this printer. -It doesnt work with Linux, or Macintosh. Might be good mainly as a scanner, for picture printing, or perhaps a child/toy printer. Not good for printing serious documents for school or business. I ended up buying a new HP printer/scanner, because I wanted a printer that could print color and black, with two cartridges. Now I get a real solid black color. Also, it allows me to continue printing black even if Ive run out of a single color in the color cartridge.

> 24 hourI dont remember when I bought this printer but it has been quite some time ago as in years. I am still using this printer today and it continues to perform well. Only problem now is finding the ink to refill it except at Office Depot.

> 24 hourAs long as you just want to scan occasionally and print photos now and again, it is a decent printer. I wouldnt recommend this one if you ever print in black and white like for school reports or business use. The biggest downfall to this printer is that it doesnt exactly have black ink. It prints out text kind of gray. The other problem is that it uses ink like it is going out of style. I bought a cartridge and after about 5 pictures, it was low on ink again. Another problem I have is this annoying box that comes up when you print. I will be typing while it is printing and it will stop my typing and this box gets in the way. You cant tell it to stop warning you of low ink. You can get it to 2 boxes instead of 3 that come up but thats it. I had the printer on one computer and it worked great. Then I moved it to another, installed the software, and the buttons will not work. The buttons work when it is hooked up to the other computer. Strange! It also does not hold very many sheets of paper. I get tired of reloading it. I have to say some good things though. The scan part seems to work great. i have never had any problem with it. It prints nice photos. Considering how few you get out a cartridge, it is probably cheaper to have them printed somewhere but I dont always want to wait. I printed out some of my wedding photos for friends and I was happy with them. I have not had any problem with the software. It never has trouble communicating like I always have with HPs. The photo software that comes with it is good stuff.

> 24 hourThese clowns who gave it one star rating and etc. have no clue about anything at all. First of all, not all printers bring a USB cable so not sure why all these people are whining for. Also, these people are expecting a 55 dollar printer to be the best which it isnt at all. The price is cheap and when you buy cheap stuff, it sometimes isnt all that great. If you want a great printer, then go drop over 100 or 200 bucks on one. This printer is decent and works well. For 55 dollars, it was worth it. Ink isnt that expensive if your willing to buy the 2 in one pack for 35 dollars over at Staples. Other than that, this printer does not bring a USB cable so buy one if youre going to buy this printer. If youre someone who just wants to print documents and is a light user, go and get this printer. If youre more of a business person and uses a printer a lot, avoid this and get something more expensive.

> 24 hourI bought this printer back in 2006, and it finally died on me last week, so it lasted for nearly 8 years. The printer is decent if youre just printing out office documents or school papers, although toward the end of its lifespan the printer started eating paper if you didnt pull it out as it printed. I mostly used the scanner for artwork. Basic linework usually came out somewhat crisp (though not perfect), but any color was muted and muddied. I liked that it gave me the option to crop out certain areas of a piece of artwork and only scan that area, but the software used for scanning was slow and would sometimes freeze, especially if I was scanning a lot of images (which I often did). It was alright for what the price was (about $60) and it got me through four years of college, but you could probably find something better these days.
