Worked fine for about 6 were but then kept disconnecting from wifi every night and wouldn’t turn my landscape lights off. Returning it and going back to my Internatic Digital Timer.

this is on my outdoor light timmer. it fits inside the box and plugs are on the side, so the lid will close...works great set all the times I want on my phone app

This product does not do what it is intended. In principle it sounds good but it continually loses the WiFi signal. The unit was located not more than 20 from the router. It would cause the landscape lights to blink sporadically. I tried to make this work...it just doesnt. Many other reviewers stated the same.

Not sure why so many negative reviews. Once you have it added to smart life app it works perfectly. Scheduling and on off switch works instantaneously without delay. Definitely recommend it and the lightkiwi low voltage transformer

The idea is great. The issue is the wifi connectivity is non-existent when the transformer door is closed (which it has to be or its not isolated from the elements). The moment you open the door the smart plug connects back to the wifi; however, the moment you close the door it loses connection almost instantly. Essentially makes the product useless for a low voltage landscape lighting transformer. Ended up purchasing a photocell from Lightkiwi which works flawlessly so far.

As many have suspected, when you put these inside the Lightkiwi transformers and close the door, the range is significantly reduced. This should really have a wire antenna that you could bring outside the transformer through a hole. I have this down by my pool, an area that has wifi, but it does not see the network with the door closed (but does with the door open). I then installed an outdoor WiFi repeater, and this device now works about 90% of the time with the door open, but sometimes the lights will flash on and off repeatedly as it gains and loses the signal. So if you can bring a wifi extender or repeater REALLY close nearby this is great. Otherwise youll want to use a timer or light sensor

I loved these Lightkiwi’s and installed 3 of them. Installation and programming is easy. I actually have various makes of Wi-Fi devices totaling over 16 at a vacation home. The bad news is, after a power outage, all the Wi-Fi devices reset and work while all 3 of my Lightkiwi’s are disconnected (offline) and will not reconnect even when I reset my Wi-Fi router remotely.

I am disappointed. After MULTIPLE attempts I have not been get this to work. I’m disappointed since I want to be able to control the lighting when I’m not near the house. The instructions offer NO HELP!!

Not only does it continually lose connection to wifi, but the programming in the app is awful. It will let you turn your devices on based on temperature, whether sunset or sunrise...but if you want to do something simple like have your lights shut off at midnight or any specific time...youre out of luck.
