Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

I have it hanging from the top of the wire cage. I will put a hammock or a tube leading up to it and they crawl across from the platform or climb the side of the cage to get in. I think it makes them feel safer in there. Anyways, they love it because its a hiding spot hanging from the ceiling, I love it because its super easy to clean. It pops apart into two pieces and wipes out with a paper towel, no problems. Unlike the hammocks etc that have to be washed when the rats pee in them and then take time to dry, I can just wipe this out and put it right back. Im considering getting a second one because they wont all 4 fit in it when they finish growing. It can easily hold two adult rats with room, though.

These are awesome! I am getting a cage set up for pet rats. I bought 1 of these, and was so pleased with that one, that I ordered a second one! They are much bigger than I expected. I placed one hanging from the cage, and the other on the cage floor. That is the best part about these! They have multiple uses. You can use one as a hanging hammock type bed, and one on the floor for a hidey house. They are sturdy, but easy to take apart, which will make cleaning them a breeze! Plus, there is enough room for a blanket, and probably at least 3 adult rats to cuddle up in it! This is a must have for a rat cage!

This was a replacement for my cloth-based hammock for my pet rats. I shouldnt be upset with the rats because they simply did what they naturally do and chewed through the hangers. This replacement has become their new home. All three regularly hang out inside together. They are all medium sized and probably have room for another to join in. The nice thing is how it mounts to the ceiling of the cage. The integrated clips attach to the cage wires and hold the pod securely in place. Im thinking of purchasing an additional pod to use at the bottom of my multi-tiered cage. It comes highly recommended!

This pod is bigger than I thought it would be, but its great! We have a Critter Nation cage and the clips didnt quite work to hang up the pod, but we just used zip ties to hang it up instead and its doing great. Plenty of space for my two rats to cuddle.

Our two fancy rats love snuggling together in the Large one of these. They pull blankets in when its cold out and then just push them out when they dont need them. We have it hanging from the top wires of the cage.

This is a fun alternative to the standard small animal igloo! Its a bit smaller than I was expecting and Im not sure my male rats will fit into it once theyre full grown but at 12 weeks two of them can cuddle up in it happily. Im not so sure I would hang it from the top of the cage as the clips are quite small and seem like they could pop off if your pets moved around a lot or got in and out of it quickly. But if you plan on keeping it at ground level its excellent!

My boys LOVED this thing immediately!! It’s so easy to assemble a toddler can do it and fits great in the cage. I hung mine up top but it can also sit on the floor. I bought 3 of them because I have 6 rats. I’m glad I got this and they seem glad to have it.

I purchased two of these pods for my mothers breeding rats. She has a large, two level cage with boys on top and girls on bottom. I wanted her to be able to use a pod in each section of the cage. Although the pod can be used upright or upside down, we chose to hang them upside down from the ceiling of the cages. We also placed a rag in the bottom of the sphere for extra padding. The rats LOVE their new pods! Its hard to lure them out of there once they settle in! This large size is just great because three adult rats can all fit in there together!

Perfect for rats! This is the size to get if youre purchasing this item for your rat(s). I noticed that there is a smaller size too, but good thing I got this size. 2 of my full sized female rats fit inside nice and snug. Cleaning and assembly is very easy.
