I used these to heat my well to prevent freezing in 0°F temperatures and well below 0°F chill factors. I had no problems at all even with a well that had no insulation whatsoever. I used these to heat the area under a large well cover. The power went off but the creamic held heat throughout the one hour rolling blackout. I also plan to use these in my dog kennels over the individual kenels to heat the bedding and sleeping area. This will add an area of extra heat during those cold nights. Anywhere you need heat these ceramic heaters meet the need. Although advertised for reptiles.... You can use these anywhere additional heat is needed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR WELLS TO KEEP PIPES FROM FREEZING. I USED 2 IN THE UNINSULATED 3 FOOT BY 5 FOOT BY 5 FOOT HIGH WELL COVER OVER A 24 INCH BORED WELL. I USED ONE ON A SMALLER 6 INCH WELL WITH INSULATION BUT EXPOSED PIPES AT GROUND LEVEL WHERE AIR COULD ENTER UNDER THE EDGE OF THE WELL COVER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS ADDITIONAL HEAT ON THOSE BOMB CYCLONE LOW TEMPERATURES EVEN IF YOU HAVE HEAT TAPE IN PLACE. A GREAT BACKUP IF THE HEAT TAPE FAILS... PLUS THE CERAMIC WILL HOLD HEAT DURING THE ROLLING BLACKOUTS.

This bulb is just ok. It produces heat, but not enough to keep temps above 80 deg. I assume I received a lower watt bulb. My use was to provide a bit more heat during the evening on the hot side of the habitat when light is not needed. However it just couldnt keep the habitat at the correct temp. The heat it does produce is constant and unlike the incandescent bulbs doesnt cause the light assembly to be scorching hot. Overall this product works well. You just need to be careful of the bulb watt level when purchasing.

These bulbs make a nice heat source for chicks. I got the 60 W bulbs and setting up just one of them worked well for the six chicks we needed to keep warm in our house. If we were to keep much more than that I would either set up more than one bulb or get the higher wattage ceramic bulbs. I kept a digital thermometer in the box with them at first just to make sure I got the temperature right and had the bulb set at the right height. Some observations and adjustments are required for these to work well but no more than what you would need to do with a traditional red heat lamp from tractor supply. I don’t prefer those because in our case they are just way too hot and too much of a fire hazard. It should be noted that these ceramic bulbs don’t emit any light so one would need to provide another source for light for the chicks to be able to eat and drink during regular daylight hours.

I have been in search of heat lamp bulbs for some time now that emit heat but have no light retracting from them. These are those heat lamp bulbs! They have worked well for my leapord gecko for the last few days. I appreciated that two came in this pack!

These were a good value & seem to be working great. Jusas good as name brand bulbs I’ve used in the past. My only real complaint would be how they sent them but I’m guessing that’s how they keep the cost down. They arrived inside a box that was stuffed into a padded envelope. The box/packaging was a little damaged however the bulbs were fine.

This works pretty well. Keeps my lizard warm incase a bulb runs out and i cant make it to the store fast enough. Doesnt put out an extreme amount of heat but would do well in addition w other bulbs incase you needed to bump the temperature up some.

These heat lamp bulb seem to be good quality. It does what its supposed to do, and it lasts longer than we even expected. The cost is a fraction of what they run in my local pet stores, so its a bargain. Actually, my local stores charge more for one bulb than the cost of these two, and with the way these have performed, Ill definitely be getting more as we need them. I try to keep at least one extra bulb handy, so this 2 pack is perfect. Our little lady is happy and warm, so these are getting the job done.

Of the two emitters I received only one was working. It seems that Amazon is having malfunctions so Im unable to return the product. My review may change if I can get a replacement

Product Details

Heat Lamp for Reptiles

Heat lamps are suitable for almost all reptiles, including lizards, spiders, turtles, snakes, etc.

Efficient and Environmentally

Ceramic heating lamps reduce heat retention and carbonization inside the equipment, with a life span of up to 10,000 hours, which is more than 2 times that of similar products, and the waterproof design is suitable for high humidity environments.

Heating Bulb without Light Source

The heat lamp bulb only generates heat during use, and does not emit light. It provides sufficient heat for your pets so that they can feel the warmth you made for it in a cold environment. Especially when it is used at night, it will not affect the pet"s sleep.
