> 24 hourThese were a good value & seem to be working great. Jusas good as name brand bulbs I’ve used in the past. My only real complaint would be how they sent them but I’m guessing that’s how they keep the cost down. They arrived inside a box that was stuffed into a padded envelope. The box/packaging was a little damaged however the bulbs were fine.

> 24 hourI wasnt sure what size to get, so I got the 100 Watt. These put off some great heat and are so much better than the normal large heat lamp bulbs we use for baby chicks which break easily and the filaments burn out quickly. These seem like they will last a long time. After testing , I removed with hot pads. The base was not hot but the top was still super hot. So be careful and do not touch when hot. You cant tell if these are on other than putting your hand in front to feel the heat. You can see the size comparison to a normal sized bulb. Great price on a 2 pack of these.

> 24 hourThese little heaters are great for several situations. Im using one to heat the pump house which is located in a shed in my yard. Prior to using this type of heater I relied on bulbs that emitted light and some heat. Invariably, there was something that froze every winter. Now, these ceramic heat units emit no light, just heat which is more efficient. I can also see why that would benefit animal owners as the light would disrupt sleeping cycles, etc. The little pump house is approximately 3 x 3 x 4 feet. At 25 degrees outside, this heater kept that room at about 35 degrees preventing the pump or pipes from freezing. I will probably upgrade to a higher wattage unit for a few more degrees of freeze prevention.

> 24 hourThis is something new for me, but I like what I see. We have pretty much always used the old fashioned, red heat lamps that just eat electricity. You have to be super careful with them because they have the potential for breaking... plus they are huge. This ceramic heater however, uses about half the electricity and has a very small footprint. One key feature that is nice about this is that it doesnt generate light 24/7. That is one specific feature we were looking for. In fact, you cant even tell its working just by looking at it. After turning it on, I could hear it starting to heat up and within about 15 seconds it was several hundred degrees. I am impressed with how well it works.

> 24 hourWe live in Louisiana said we do not need a large amount of heat for our chicken coop. My husband installed this heater under their nesting box and it provided just the right amount of heat.

> 24 hourThese bulbs make a nice heat source for chicks. I got the 60 W bulbs and setting up just one of them worked well for the six chicks we needed to keep warm in our house. If we were to keep much more than that I would either set up more than one bulb or get the higher wattage ceramic bulbs. I kept a digital thermometer in the box with them at first just to make sure I got the temperature right and had the bulb set at the right height. Some observations and adjustments are required for these to work well but no more than what you would need to do with a traditional red heat lamp from tractor supply. I don’t prefer those because in our case they are just way too hot and too much of a fire hazard. It should be noted that these ceramic bulbs don’t emit any light so one would need to provide another source for light for the chicks to be able to eat and drink during regular daylight hours.

> 24 hourIts a 60w ceramic heat emitter, it does what its intended to do. These are all pretty generic, not the most powerful ones out there, but also less likely to fry the housing of your lamp over time. Creates a nice, warm basking area for reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, etc without unwanted light.
