All gaskets, by design, are mechanical seals which have limits; temperature, pressure, and time. Loctite is a second line of defense in cases of material defects. Loctite is on every gasket I install.

Use it in VW engine building, great.

I applied this to a chainsaw engine bearing cup/cylinder. It would not dry/cure. I waited 48 hours before checking it. Loctites website says it cures in 4 hours. Did I do something wrong?

Used this on a stihl chainsaw to seal the cylinder to the crankcase. Worked flawlessly.

Amazon REALLY needs to include the fact that you ALSO NEED TO ORDER the activator separately. This requires the spray activator on NON-Active metals like aluminum.

I bought this on a whim from watching it being used on a repair channel on YouTube. I generally like adding a little bit of gasket material when Im using a standard gasket. While its not for all types of gaskets, I definitely feel it helps and will last me a long time. Ill be again be using it for is to assist the gasket I replace.

This is usually an excellent product, this particular tube was however much thicker than usual, and impractical for use. I would guess possibly too old, or a bad batch?

Used this stuff for years. Only dries when its compressed between 2 surfaces. Forms very thin seal in minutes. Resistant to gas and oil. Would put it on toast if it were edible!
