We rebuilt a lot of gearboxes were the cases are bolted together without a gasket; a metal-to-metal joint. This sealant is perfect for this and never lets us down. Very easy to use and will clean off with solvents and a rag if you need to remove it. It is a bit soft setting, so it doesnt dry out and crack. Excess that gets squeezed out of the joint will not separate and wind around inside the gearbox like silicone.

As an anaerobic sealant that does not require a primer this product can not be beat. I am a professional mechanic and engine builder, call backs cost money and makes for dissatisfied customers, dont cut corners use this product.

Checked the shelf life on lockouts website, the Po product I received was over the shelf life of one year

Used this stuff for years. Only dries when its compressed between 2 surfaces. Forms very thin seal in minutes. Resistant to gas and oil. Would put it on toast if it were edible!

Used this product to seal two halves of an aluminium outboard crankcase. Directions said to use primer I did not. I thoroughly cleaned both surfaces with lacquer thinner then used a small paint brush to apply a thin coat to each side making sure to give a little distance near bearings. Then assembled crankcase let set for a couple of days. I was concerned after reading some reviews that the product would not cure properly without primer so I disassembled to check cure before completing assembly. All was fine cleaned again resealed and reassembled let sit for a week before running motor. No leaks ofter running motor multiple times. One tube will do many small engines. Would recommend. set time was not a big rush product cures when air is absent after assembly.

In my opinion this is the best gasket maker you can use. Because it’s anabolic it does not set up till the part is put togeather.
