Good product. Read the applications and usage instructions. It does exactly what it claims to do. If you are using it on a BB30 bottom bracket, be aware that you CAN still remove the bearings later with a sharp rap from a steel hammer.

Loctite is the leader in looking bolts and sleeves onto there maiting part so they dont come apart. I will always use loctite.

I use 640 when replacing bushings in GM transfer cases, transaxle, and transmissions to insure no “walking” down the road. A little bit goes a long long way.

I used this product for installing my front end meprolight sight of Glock 19 gen4 and it worked really great!!! The sight is well fixed even after shooting 500rds.

Tried to use to secure a bushing in an output extension housing of a truck transmission. Old bushing was spinning in its bore. Supposed to be a press fit. Researched this problem and discovered this product. Followed directions. First cleaned and degreased housing and bushing mating surfaces with BrakeClean. Then applied the Loctite to both surfaces and installed the bushing with a twisting motion. Instructions state the product will set up in 1hr and fully cure after 24hrs. I had the assembly in my house at 72* and after 24hrs product was just as wet as when I installed it. Removed bushing and recleaned , not sure what to do now.

Not something you can find at local home improvement or hardware store. I needed this for an RC helicopter pinion gear gluing to the motor shaft. The torque was enough to break high strength red Loctite 271, but this green 640 stuff hasnt broken yet.

It worked well but has only been in service for a short time. Used it to fasten a Kitchen Aid dough mixer shaft to the drive. This is a slip fit with no mechanical retainer. It had been coming loose with each use. Now it has been used 4 times with no sign of looseness.
