19-11-2024I liked the white color, though I was doubtful before buying it. The colors that each key displays are beautiful. However, there is a limit to how many can be differentiated. Yes, aesthetics are critical to me. I was very disappointed that the G on the upper left side of the keyboard did not light up as in previous boards. The ability to control computer volume is convenient and looks nice. Overall, this keyboard is beautiful. At this high price point, Logitech could have done better.

Greater than one weekFor my latest keyboard review, I review a higher end mechanical keyboard and thats the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The keyboard is part of the Aurora Collection and aimed at gamers who want a trendy, cool looking keyboard with premium accessories from Logitech. IF anything, Logitech has made a strong name for itself in the business and gaming industry for producing quality, premium and affordable accessories. May it be wireless keyboards/mouse, web cameras, speakers, its a brand that many people use, may it be business or home. And while for business, Logitech are in the top echelons of brand names and their brand tends to equate with quality. Logitech has been in the gaming industry for a long time, but with competition being fierce, they have been trying to find ways to reach the hip consumer. And the result is through the Aurora Collection, you can get wireless headsets, wireless mouse and mechanical keyboard via wired or wireless and more. Now, the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard instantly attracts me because I do prefer white keyboards over black, gunmetal and silver. This is cool for the company because Logitech products are often black or gray. So, by creating a keyboard with soft, warm pastel lighting, I am enjoying the G715 a lot. Granted, the cloud based wrist rest is not my style, so unfortunately its not something I will be using. But others may dig it! The keyboard uses doubleshot PBT keycaps and this is important to mention because for those who have used Logitech keyboards for business use know one of my pet peeves that I see in business use is seeing many Logitech keyboards missing letters (possibly caused by those who eat at their desk and hold their food and type, I tend to see it as caused by greasy fingers). But these type of keycaps will not have faded letters because they are doubleshot keycaps and the letters are see through, so the lighting will illuminate the letters of the keyboard. As for the RGB lighting, as mentioned, the keycaps have lighting but also the bottom of the keyboard. The keyboard utilizes Logitech GX Brown Switches, so this is for those who prefer to have that inbetween of red (silent) and blue clicky button presses. To be truthful, I have been utilizing this keyboard for several weeks now and because of its smoothness, I have had a really easy time of shifting towards gaming to work and this keyboard has made my work so much easier, because everything is quite smooth. Its a major plus for me! But while you can change colors through various keys, the Logitech G Hub software that you can download from the official company website, provides a much better way to control this keyboard for lighting or programming. It comes with 10 presets and two effects on device such as Verticool and Ocean Wave courtesy of Logitechs LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting technology. There is a Freestyle mode in the settings which allows people to customize their colors and then there is animations that allow for 16 types of animations and you can add more. But what I love about these lights is that its the kind of lighting that other keyboards tend to not do. For example, of the many mechanical keyboards I have reviewed, its always the same colors, RGBY and variations. But Ocean Wave pretty much reminds me of an island/ocean colors with the blue, the light soft baby blues and the light tan browns. But for those who like The Matrix datafall, rainbow like caterpillar, there are numerous animations included. Now people who want a fully customizable keyboard, the G715 allows for commands, keys and actions, macros, system functions. So, those who want to customize their keys, may it be for gaming or for work, such as video or audio editing where you want to add shortcuts, the G Hub software and the the G715 allows for a lot of customization, which is a big selling point of this keyboard. And there is a Game Mode which allows you do select keys that you dont want to accidentally hit while gaming. So, Game Mode can be activated and customized. The only buttons that cant be customized are the media buttons above the function keys. The media buttons allow you to change the brightness levels of the lighting of your keyboard, also to switch on Game Mode and a button to make your keyboard discoverable for Bluetooth pairing. You can easily have access to go back or forward if you listen to music on your favorite music program. You can pause and also turn sound off and non. There is a spinning wheel on the upper right corner, to adjust the volume as well. Pairing the keyboard to be wireless via Bluetooth was simple. And the keyboard does have LEDs on the top of the buttons, one to indicate if your rechargeable battery on your keyboard is going dead (you can view percentage through the G HUB software as well) and you need to plug in the cable to charge. There is also a Caps Lock LED light, to let one know if CAPS LOCK is on. But yes, you can utilize the keyboard as a wireless or a wired keyboard (another cool factor is that its USB-C to USB-A cable, or you can use the 2.4 GHz wireless USB-A dongle if you do not want to use Bluetooth), so the choice is there for consumers depending on your usage. And like other Logitech keyboards, you do have a wireless extender. Another plus, because if you have used Logitech keyboards in the work setting, you know how often you need to replace your AA batteries. This keyboard is rechargeable! And the keyboard is said to last up to 25-hours with max brightness. But if you are power user, go ahead and plug the cable right before you sleep or keep it on. Overall, the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a very cool keyboard but being a Logitech mechanical keyboard, you will be paying for the brand and a premium price for they keyboards functions. Its around $200 for the keyboard and around $300 if you want the keyboard and wireless mouse. And the price is quite painful for those who love the features but were only looking to spend under $100. But if you want a mechanical keyboard that is fully customizable, may it be programming of the keys or changing out the switches, with solid programming for the lights and animation, this is an awesome keyboard for those who need an awesome Bluetooth/wireless keyboard for work and gaming. The Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is recommended!

> 3 dayI love this keyboard!! Ive wanted it for so long and finally decided to buy it and Im satisfied with my purchase. It sounds amazing and those so many customizable features in the desktop app. I rated and 4 stars instead of 5 because I was having trouble keeping it connected to the app on desktop. I usually have to open up the app and run it as administrator for it to work correctly which Ive gotten used to so Im ok with that.

> 3 dayI was curious as to what the fuzz is about with mechanical keyboard so I decided to try out this one. I’m not an expert on keyboard by any mean so I can only comment on my experience with this keyboard. The keyboard is very cute and girly. The cloud pillow is not exactly that comfortable to use but it really enhances the look. There are many light options to make the keyboard looks pretty but I never really look at the keyboard when I use it anyway so I don’t really get the point for it. The keyboard can be adjust to two different height, which is really nice compared to my old one, which just lay flat. The keyboard can be connect using a dongle or Bluetooth but it can only be connected to one device, which is a downgrade from my old keyboard, which allows me to easily switch to up to 3 devices. Typing is a more pleasant experience than my old keyboard and I find that I make less mistakes because I can really feel where the keys are. But my old keyboard was just an old one and most other cheaper keyboards have easily identified keys as well. It makes clicking sounds when I type, I heard that is the pros of mechanical keyboard but I personally hates it because I’d be on a conference call and try to take notes while talking and it makes sound when I type, which is really annoying! I need it to be dead quiet! Since this keyboard is white and there’s a quite some gaps under best the keys, I can see dust accumulating on it and makes it dirty easily. I try to clean it daily but my pets’ hair still magically find their way to the keyboard somehow. I don’t think I’d be able to keep it clean for long. Overall, it’s a nice and cute keyboard and I like it very much; however, I don’t really think it’s worth the $200 price tag. I know mechanical keyboards are supposed to be expensive but at this price, I would rather use a regular keyboard

> 3 dayThe keyboard is pretty, Ill give it that. I normally customize my keyboards from scratch, but Ive always been curious about this board since it was released. Im a sucker for pretty white keyboards. I ordered this board twice. The first time, I bought the tactiles, but the order ended up getting delayed. In the meantime, I decided I was going to order the linears to try it out since Amazon offered overnight shipping. Eventually I got both boards, I realized that I liked the linears so much better than the tactiles. Personally, Ive been a fan of both tactiles and linears but in this case; it was no competition, linears were simply better feel and sound. I originally ordered the GX Browns thinking it would be similar to Cherry Browns but it wasnt. The actuation force is a lot higher before you actually get a response, and the keys are quite stiff.

Greater than one weekI just built a PC and wanted to have the best of the best. The price is a bit much for this. I believe it is because it is white. I definitely got it for the aesthetics and was listening to my gamer guy friends when they were telling me what keyboards were best for gaming because I am lazy. However, I wish it did have the number panel on the side. I dont have as much control over the lights on the keyboard as I had hoped, and the cloud although cute is basically useless. Overall it is a good keyboard, but unless you have a lot of money and plan on using it for more than just surfing the web, I would save your money.

> 3 dayDont get me wrong, it is a very good quality keyboard. It is heavy and I am sure if I hooked it up it would work lovely... BUT I ordered this thinking 199? huh okay, well its really cute and I would love to have a nice blue/pink/white keyboard and mouse set. Also a fluffy cloud pad??? Count me in! Turns out that it did nOt come with a mouse and the cloud and keyboard are completely white. I get that the LED lights make it blue and pink but the picture made it seem like the cloud would have a tint of color to it. I guess it was just reflecting the LED lights. IMO thats lame. I went back on amazon to see if the mouse was supposed to come but I guess I clicked just the keyboard so thats MY mistake... BUT after choosing the option with the mouse so I can return mine and get that one, it added $100 more dollars to the price. So 200 dollars for a keyboard and a cheap wrist pad and 100 dollars for a mouse????? Im sorry what? My pc came WITH cyberpower keyboard AND mouse. I promise future buyers that this is a big waste of money. Dont let the cute pictures they have decieve you into thinking its okay to spend that much JUST because its cute. Decorate the rest of your desk with cute cloud stuff. This one aint worth it. I am returning it and getting my 200 back.

> 3 dayI dont have a lot of time to play games, but I am a fast typist, so I appreciate a great keyboard. I ordered this keyboard to replace the one that came with my Dell XPS desktop computer. I needed a keyboard with a more tactile feedback, so that I could type faster. This model is perfect for my needs. The only negative to me is the lack of a numeric keypad. Fortunately Im good at typing using the numbers on the top row, so that wasnt much of a disadvantage for me. But it might be for some. The palm rest that looks like a cloud is a strange design decision. But I dont mind since it feels good when Im typing. I honestly think this keyboard is overpriced, but its working fine for me. If you want a smaller gaming keyboard that is great to type on, I would recommend this model.

> 3 dayThe Logitech G715 wireless mechanical gaming keyboard is a clean tenkeyless 87 key design. Has an attractive white frame and rgb lighting. The keys are backed by what Logitech calls tactile (on my unit) GX Brown switches which feel similar to my Das keyboard Cherry MX Browns, though they take more force to bottom out and make slightly hollower sound. Actuation seems to be a bit more resistant than the MX Cherry Browns which I suppose could be more tiring over time. Still, the GX Browns works well enough for long periods though personally for gaming I prefer a MX Red or Blue. Overall, the typing response is satisfying. The keys are consistent and is helped by the sturdiness of the frame itself. No creaks or rattling anyway. The base keyboard is white, but you can order other color cover plates to hot-swap as you like, and the process is pretty easy since the plate is attached via magnets. Its a really sleek looking keyboard, though I wish the round top-level media control buttons were also uniformly white instead of their light blue color. Theres a nice roller up at the top that controls volume that is quite handy. Its a well-designed keyboard. The rgb is pretty standard, with 5 dimming levels and various static/dynamic color settings. The rgb lighting extends to the bottom of the keyboard where a strip of leds wraps the underside perimeter of the keyboard, lighting up your desk during use. Very cool. The Logitech G Hub software is easy to use and is lightweight and notifies you immediately to install firmware updates. You have a solid amount of RGB color settings, where you can get really granular and manually set the colors of certain regions of the keyboard. For example, if you want the underside light to be a static green while the keys to be a dynamic rainbow? Go for it, the software will let you. Within the software you can also activate Game Mode, which lets you deactivate certain keys during gaming, to avoid hitting the wrong buttons during an intense round of whatever game. The ergo wrist pad is probably the most unorthodox (and divisive) thing about this keyboard. Its included in all versions of the G715. Its a cloud. Really, it looks like a cloud. Once you get past the design, youd find that its a standard synthetic-leather wrapped foam with good wrist/palm support. Overall this is a great stylish keyboard with that is really only odd design-wise for its cloud-shaped palm rest. The keyboard itself is of a quality construction and is pleasant to use if you dont come from the elaborate world of custom mechanical keyboards or really high-end gaming boards. For the price range Id say its worth it for the aesthetics more than the function. Its a clean looking board. Recommended.
