Greater than one weekI bought this bag for a short hospital stay after surgery and I needed one big enough to carry all I would need, plus my pocketbook. This bag filled the need with room to spare. There is a shoulder strap and also handles, if you prefer that.

I love everything about this bag-- the strap, the pockets, the plastic protective compartment, the included makeup bag. Honestly I almost feel bad about how inexpensive it is.
