> 24 hourI bought the original wall switch and remote as a package at Lowes, but needed a second remote. Now my wife and I each have a remote on our respective nightstands. These little remotes work great. The center preset button is a nice feature. It was easy to sync each remote to the wall switch and easier still for each of us to also sync our own desired preset lighting level. Have other Lutron products. Quality made. I havent tried the Alexa integration, so didnt rate it. As one of us falls asleep before the other, better to just use the remote to cut off the light, rather than yelling to Alexa to cut it off.

> 24 hourI am using this in conjunction with a Lutron Caseta wall dimmer switch and a Wink hub. The downside to these products is that they have a proprietary wireless system (not Z-wave or Zigbee). That though is also an advantage because they will work with or without a home automation system in operation (or after you sell and take your home automation hub with you). It you do use this with a Wink though, pair the Pico remote through Wink, not using the directions provided by Lutron. You can use this remote anywhere on a wall or just loose, or in a box where a 3 or 4 way slave switch used to reside (or actually even where the 3 or 4 way switch resided). They sell a separate piece of plastic for mounting in a box, which really should be included in the package for the remote. If you do install it in a box, dealing with the existing wiring is pretty simple--you just connect all the wires together with a large wire nut (except any common wire (unlikely) or a ground). I would suggest though taking a picture of the existing switch wiring, and tag the wires as necessary so that you can easily reverse the process if you remove the Lutron switch. As to the remote, it is actually a bit nicer than the wireless switch I paired it with because the middle button can be set to turn on to a remembered brightness level, where the on button remains full bright. Other than that, this product works as well as any wired slave switch--assuming distance is not too great. As to distance, for use with a Wink system it would be distance to the Wink hub. For use without a hub it would be distance to the wired switch. I did not test out distance, but I have not had any issues with them being on a different floor than my hub, but they are virtually right below the hub, so the distance is not great. Anyway, I generally do not like proprietary systems, but here it actually does provide some benefit.

> 24 hourThis remote improved a lighting situation in our home. Our dining room has two entrances, the main one to the rest of the house and one to the kitchen on the opposite side of the room. The light switch was located at the main entrance, a standard 2-pole dimmer switch, so there was no way to turn it on from the kitchen. I swapped the original dimmer for a Lutron Caseta Wireless dimmer (the Pro model, PD-10NXD), then paired it with the Pico remote. Very simple to install, and pairing took just a few seconds. Now we can control the light from the kitchen as well, including the dimming level. No electrician, no new wiring and no carpentry needed. And since the Caseta dimmer is compatible with LEDs, we can change the bulbs to LEDs without issues.

> 24 hourfor the remote that the dog chewed on. It still works, but the top piece on the front is chewed up pretty bad. He is a bad little dog. Right now, he is in the other dogs crate playing with his squeaky elephant. The dog waits until we go to bed to grab things off the end tables (hubbys side mostly) and during the day, he likes to hop on the bed and walk over to my nightstand and try to grab anything he can, which is how he got the remote that is being replaced. The remote works well and you are able to dim it and then also automatically have it shut off gradually with the bottom button.

> 24 hourGreat remote! Its very easy to add this dimmer switch to any of your Caseta wireless controlled lights. The center button is a favorite setting which you can set to instantly turn the lights to your preferred setting. If you have a light that is controlled by two switches you will need one of these remotes to replace the second switch. IE: one switch will be a Caseta hard-wired switch and the second one will be one of these remotes (if you are replacing a wall switch with a remote dont forget to buy the Caseta wall plate to seamlessly complete your install.) Or if you just want to add, say a switch up stairs to control lights down stairs, Caseta will let you add as many switches to control one set of lights as you want. Caseta wireless is hands down a superior home automation product. They are an early adopter to home automation and have been making major developments in this field for years. Caseta Wireless is constantly improving their home automation platform, sending out updates and adding new products to their list of controllable devices. You will not be disappointing when you buy this system.

> 24 hourWe now have about a dozen of these installed. What I like about raised button feature is the ability to preset the desired light level. It is also nice since no wall cutting is required when installing this as a remote switch. It might not be up to code, but the main switch can be basically anyplace in the building (within range) and these remotes can operate the associated lights.

> 24 hourIve tried a lot of smart home automation products and honestly Lutrons Caseta light of lighting controllers is maybe the only one that I actually like using and installing. It *just works*, everything is high quality, the controllers can be installed on the wall or on nice pedestals, the dimming is smooth, the whole thing just feels like luxury instead of like some fiddly broken techno gadget. Its instantaneous and the range is impressive (they SAY 30 feet but it works flawlessly over hundreds of feet for me). This is their Pico remote, which requires other Lutron Caseta gear (dimmers, etc) to work with. I got the black model, which is a very striking jet black, and can be used to distinguish one remote from another. (I do wish they were available in more colors...)

> 24 hourLutron has come up with a great way to deal with 3,4,5 way switches and converting your house to wifi switches. If you understand this dilemma, then this product is the one to help you get there. When coupled with the wall plate bracket this fits into, you can add this in place of one of the switches in the system and it looks and works just as if it was a normal light switch. Example, for a 4 way system, get two of these and two of the mounting brackets, and one actual lutron caseta dimmer. Install the dimmer in place of one 4 way switch and install the remotes in place of the other two switches in the same system. Sync the remotes with that dimmer and your done. Looks like normal switches! One hint, if you like the idea of hitting a button and the dimmer go to a preferred setting, then mount one of these remotes in the most commonly used switch location. The actual dimmer switch doesnt have that function, but the remotes do. We use it all the time and didnt think we would. Great product, great solution to the multi switch wifi conversion problems.

> 24 hourworks flawlessly with the paired Lutron switch and is very responsive
