I ordered the large size and unless you knit small items would not recommend you go smaller. I really like the bag BUT as you can see from the photos, 12 inch needles stick up too far and I would be worried about losing knitting needles from the outside pockets. Love that there are plenty of inside pockets and the outside flap is great to keep crochet hooks. I also kept other things in there. One thing that was not thought about which I did not realise until I threaded the yarn through the holes (which is a great idea) is that once you start knitting and put the knitting back inside the bag it is awkward to close the zip. If you leave a long tail of yarn it is possible.

Nice sturdy bag. Not flimsy at all. My daughter says it looks like a diaper bag, oh well. I could have probably gotten the small or medium. The large is big enough for hardcore knitters with a lot of supplies.

Perfect size for an inconspicuous yarn bag. It fits 4 large yarn cakes with plenty of room for a large iPad, wallet and all the bits and pieces that go with non stop knitting and crocheting. The material feels high quality and is a charcoal color. Perfect for traveling and there’s a side pocket for my phone.

Bought as a teacher bag...used slots to organize colorful pens. I love it and several of my colleagues already bought the same one! It fit my small laptop in the inside pocket.

Got it for my mom. She loves it!!
