I mostly bought this for the Sunday NFL ticket and to inform those that might be skeptical it does work. Simply type in the user name and code in the game a BAM as Madden would say you got the NFL ticket .

This game is worth the time for a review. The game plays like any other madden, but the NFL Sunday Ticket bonus is awesome! I would pay $99 for the NFL Sunday Ticket alone. Dear Amazon, Please keep deals like these coming!

Ok so at first i thought it was fun for a challenge being the jets are rated 73 in the game, respectable for the season we had last year. But heres the deal. I pretty much have to play a spot on perfect game to even have a chance of winning. I can be technically better than my opponent but get screwed over and over again, play after play deeming it almost impossible to have fun.

A few years back, I used to play NCAA Football 06 and Madden NFL 06 for hours upon hours. I would play a season of NCAA and then export the draft class into Madden. Then I would play a season of Madden and follow it up with the draft using my imported class. It was pretty addictive. It was also cool that it would track all the statistics and you could take you players to the Pro Bowl. I considered those to be the best two sports video games ever made. I bought Madden 11 for the PS3 but didnt like it as much. They had added new controls and changed the features and I just didnt end up playing the game very much. Then I saw the new Madden 25 with the great Barry Sanders on the cover. I was hoping for something special - maybe the ability to build my own team using Hall of Famers to play through a season. Well, they do have that feature, sort of. You can pick one Hall of Famer and add him to your team and then only play as that player. In other words, you have to simulate all the plays in which your Hall of Famer isnt on the field. Well that SUCKS! If you want to build your team, you have to buy packs of imaginary football cards (Im not making this up) and hope to get players you like and then add them to your team. It is not very intuitive at all. And then you have to play against other people online in order to win coins which can be used to buy more cards (but even that is limited - they really just want you to pull out the credit card, again). I played it for a few hours and then decided to dispose of it on EBay. Hey, I get it that theyre trying to make money but theyve ruined the game in the process. As for me, that was the last Madden game Ill buy. I still have the PS2 so if I get bored, I can play that. If youre interested in Madden 25, my advice would be to wait a few months. The game sucks so bad that all the video game stores will soon be flooded with used copies. But seriously, you would be far better off keeping your money in your pocket.

Quite honestly I bought this for the NFL Sunday Ticket code that was inside. I sold the game after I got the code. So... my recommendation is if this is available again next year totally buy it for the code. It is an online only version of Sunday Ticket but has been great to have. Drawbacks are: the code can only be used on one device at a time, trying to stream an AppleTV is pretty jumpy due to home network issues and DirecTVs servers. Totally worth to buy the game for this and then resell if you dont want the game.

My boys play the game, I purchased it for the NFL Sunday Ticket. Well worth it and if it is offered in the future I will purchase it again.

I picked this up because I had not picked up a Madden title in a few years and because of the Sunday Ticket package. The Sunday Ticket is kind of a wash. It allowed me to watch one game I didnt have access to otherwise. Had it allowed you to watch ALL of the games it would be an easy 5 star.
