> 24 hourSummary: A nice quality printer with built in editing that is somewhat limited, but that is more than offset by having a good app for editing that works well and doesnt steal your personal information. Choice of label types seems somewhat limited. Cons: 1. The editing functionality on the printer itself is somewhat limited. For example there doesnt seem to be any kind of print preview function on the LCD itself. So it is fine for basic text but if you want fine control and graphics etc you should use the app. 2. The choices of label tape seem to be somewhat limited. For example I have seen plenty of 16mm wide tape listed on MakeID Amazon, but not any 9mm. Also other printers like Dymo have a variety of tapes that are fluorescent colors, or even white text on black. I dont see any such tapes from Makeid - just milder colored tapes such as pink and gold. Perhaps Im not looking in the right places. 3. Print resolution is only 203ppi while some cheaper models have 300ppi. Pros: 1. Although the app seems to have so-so reviews on the Apple App Store, it works surprisingly well and I cant fault it. Most importantly it doesnt need you to create an account and the app store says that it doesnt gather / access any personal information. That is a big plus for me. Having said that the privacy policy listed on the app store is only in Chinese. 2. The app has loads of layout options and really does let you do WYSIWYG editing. It can do barcodes, QR codes, graphics, scaling and has loads of fonts included (downloaded as you need). 3. The tape loads easily and without a lot of fuss. Just thread it in the print head, close the door and you are done. 4. Bluetooth connection worked right away. The app listed the printer it found and I just needed to select it. No pairing necessary. 5. I did try some 3rd party white tape for about $10/2rolls and it worked fine and had the same print quality. 6. Printer keyboard is good layout and size. Screen is large enough and LCD backlight is a nice professional touch. Feels solidly built and very good build and design. Battery life seems good. USB-C connection for recharging.

> 24 hourBest label maker I’ve used by far. So easy to use. Easy to type and print. Easy to use the cutter. Bluetooth is easy to connect and use as is the app as well. It’s a great label maker that can do more than I would ever need.

> 24 hourI just received this labeler and being using it like crazy. Let me tell you something upfront: dont try to use the interface unless you are in a hurry and want to print a simple label, it is difficult and slow to use. You should install the app, there you can do lots of things: play with text placement, add images, create barcodes and QR codes. It takes 3 tape sizes: 9mm, 12mm and 16mm. It comes with a white 16mm tape, which since is thermal is waterproof. It is charged by an USB-C port so you wont need to be replacing batteries. I would like to have is wider tape, but so far 16mm is good. The printer can store labels to be printed later. That feature is also in the app, but something missing is that you cannot create labels in the app and store them in the labeler, so later you can print them without the phone. If the label is stored in the phone you have to use the phone to print. Maybe they can add that feature in the app in the future.

> 24 hourI have one of the other MakeID printers, and it works flawlessly, this printer continues to lose connection with my phone, I tried my daughters phone, and had the same results. The labels are comparable to the other small portable printers sold. Just expected more from a mini full keyboard label printer.

> 24 hourThe manual is clear and its easy enough to change label size and font, etc. Using the device interface limits you a little with symbols. There are a very few symbols and they dont look great. The keyboard is functional, but the keys feel a little weird and pop when you press them. However, using the phone app is much better. There are a lot of symbols and its quite easy to create and print labels via bluetooth. The labels are split in the middle making them very easy to peel and stick. Be aware of off-brand labels, though- as you can see in the picture they print fine, but the center hole is much too small to fit the internal spindle. Its a great little device. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourIf you’re like me and you love labeling things then this label maker is definitely for you. It’s a sturdy and well made product. It’s so easy to use and get started. It prints beautifully. I love to open up my pantry and seeing how organized everything is because of a label. The labels adhere very nicely and remains on the item until you remove it. Love this!

> 24 hourThis is a nice label maker that I am very pleased with. I really like being able to input/format the label on my phone instead of needing to create it directly on the label maker. The bluetooth connection and the app work quite well. The buttons on the label maker are only labeled with symbols and no words, which makes it a lot more confusing and counterintuitive to learn how to use, but other that I have no complaints. I used this to label a shelf full of spices and oils in my cupboard and it worked very well. I look forward to labeling all the things!
