> 24 hourI used Norton for decades but when they decided to force me to subscribe for automatic updates I looked for something else. Malwarebytes was recommended to me so I decided to give it a try. Right off the bat it was way easier to install than Norton. It seems to be working as it should without any hiccups. Time will tell if this is a good replacement.

> 24 hourI combine this with Kaspersky every year. They work well together. I had difficulty adding it to one of my remote laptops that is on a VPN with its own brand of antivirus but finally got it to sync up.

> 24 hourHad an annoying bot. Dont know where it came from. Tried all sorts of fixes. Even reinstalled Win 10 and reinstalled 40+ programs. No change. Same problem. So frustrating. Found a listing for this on web. Remembered using it years ago and installed the free 14-day trial yesterday. Worked. Will purchase in 13 days. A winner!!!

> 24 hourThis product is extremely difficult to install. Tec help is awful.....I cant understand India accent. He was Not patient India and when i complied with his instructions he took control of my computer without telling me what he was going to do! He said i have control of your computer dont touch anything and said we had a bad connection he had to hang up and would call me back. What??? I shut off and unplugged my computer in fear of compromise. I have had this product twice with same problem both times. Will never buy it ever again.

> 24 hourHell of a product. Mandatory for boxes I work as its very effective and catches different types of viruses however, I still use A/V kinda the belt/suspenders approach in addition to some flavor of UTM box if possible.

> 24 hourI am familiar with older versions of MalwareBytes on Windows computers and android phones. The company has been around and was known for an efficient stand-alone anti-malware scanner. While the Premium version is not in the cheap tier for pricing, you can find legitimate keys for an affordable price by surfing around. What I like about MalwareBytes Premium is that it meets all of the criteria I have for an anti-malware security program. I beta tested antivirus programs in the 2000s so I am a little picky on programs that I pay for. Here are some things I look for: +Performance. Is the program stable? Does the real-time feature slow down browsing much? I have uninstalled some programs for that reason. I dont notice this program at all. It does run light! +Does it have a high detection rate on a test site that I check? MalwareBytes Premium has recently performed very well (in the top tier). Frankly, I wouldnt want a program that doesnt score in the high 90s. Thats what we pay for, detections and removal. +Update Frequency. This program can be set to update automatically and it can be set to check for updates every hour. In the month I have had MalwareBytes Premium installed the automatic update has always worked. +Configurability. This is a big factor for me, hence the long paragraph. This is also a strongpoint for MalwareBytes Premium. There are four Real-Time Protection components: Web Protection, Malware Protection, Ransomware Protection, and Exploit Protection. These components can all be de-activated. Probably not a great idea, but I still have the choice. In addition to those components there is also an optional Browser Guard that works for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and it even works on Brave! There are optional scan settings also. Examples are scans in archives, scans for rootkits, scans for Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) or Potentially Unwanted Modifications (PUMs). A scan scheduler is common with subscription security programs. MalwareBytes has it and it works flawlessly. On a minor note, there are options for changing the theme or appearance in this program also. +Usability. Even with all of the options available the screens are well-designed. Easy to navigate and clean. I like this program a little bit better than anything else I have tried. Thats personal preference in the configurability category and it has multiple real-time protection components. It can be install and forget like Avira for instance, or you can set it up for personal preference and pay more. I think its worth the extra price to have it.
