> 3 dayWe received this toy yesterday and we’re already so happy we purchased it. Our daughter is just shy of three months and she loves it! She holds it with both hands and is figuring out how to shake it to make music. We love that it’s a gentle noise. We really like natural wood toys instead of bright colors and noises and this is definitely a favorite!

> 3 dayHard to use for baby because if its odd shape, my baby didnt like it, I returned it.

Greater than one weekNot a suitable toy for infants because the wood splinters. I don’t know why the age rating is 0+. This should not be given to infants who will constantly put in their mouths. Made my 6 mo baby cry several times. You can see and feel the wood splinters and very rough wooden surface. I got fooled by the reputable toy company and the CE mark, but I guess nothing beats common sense (and actual baby cries).

> 3 dayMy son laughs every time I smash this and it springs back into shape. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that while the finish is listed as a non-toxic water based finish, I wish it was unfinished wood. Other than that, its a great toy (about the size of a softball) that will be interesting for my son to play with for years.

> 3 dayI bought this for my 3 month old, and at the time he was a little young for it (its pretty big for a babys tiny hands). Now at 5 months, its one of his favorite toys!

12-06-2025Smaller than expected. Easy for baby to grasp but at 4 months she bangs it into her face a lot. Might end up being a better toy for when she’s older.

> 3 dayI thought naturally finished meant unfinished but the two are not the same. This doesnt have the bad smell that another Manhattan Toy I have has but since my son constantly bites, sucks and chews everything you give him and I wouldnt personally feel like sucking it myself with some sort of finish (besides beeswax/food oil) so neither would I want him to do that. However, I gave it 4 stars because it looks like lots of fun and is fantastic for little hands to grasp and manipulate. Its has interesting features and makes a little noise as the beads in the middle slide down the rods. Ill definitely be keeping it for him when he shows more interest in examining, squishing and playing with it, as opposed to just mouthing it. I would prefer it unfinished but overall its a really good toy.
