My 10 year old son got this game and a few others for his Christmas Wii on the recommendation of his 25 year old brother. Mario Supper Sluggers is one of his top two favorite games. The graphics are fun and the characters fun and interesting. The games controls and the game itself work well.

My kids thought that it wasnt really like baseball and you didnt have enough control over the bat. They played for 5 minutes and were ready to call it quits.

Product was listed under the Game Cube console- extremely deceiving! Very disappointed with the purchase and a waste of my time.

Nintendo sends its stars back to the ballpark(s) in Mario Super Sluggers and this time around the Wii controls are in effect. The batting is just plain fun, a cock back power swing or a swish in the air at the pitch prove effective and the power ups make you want to try each one out at the very least. The unlockable fields and characters come easily as you go through the single player challenge mode which introduces new gameplay elements with completion of various scout missions etc..The mario kart style items make the action on the field all the more frenzied as defense becomes tougher and yet more accesible than ever thanks to the robust but simple controls. The pitching is fun and while limited has enough strategy to keep you hurling. The various control settings are nice for the kids but nunchuck and wiimote setting is where its at for most of the game.(minigames being the exception) After I beat bowser and had played through challenge mode, however I wanted more and going back to the minigames only added so much replay value. If you have a buddy who gets as good as you are you might find ALOT of replay value here but for single player you might find yourself looking for a little more gameplay after the amazingly fun challenge mode is over. Some in game trading cards and player specific items would have made this a little bit deeper of an excercise as would a slightly more fufilling swing and pitch system. Still I liked being able to use my Mii in the minigames and in exhibition games as well. Overall MSS gets it mostly right and is a ton of fun while it lasts.

this game is super Mario fun, and I love the characters the super swings the super piches, the last second point and everything about It. But, its realy hard to do a charge swing because you have to do a perfect hit, at a perfect time and pray that you dont get a out and get a home run. Also, the challenge kinda sucks; you have to find characters and do a scout mission to unlock them and then face Bowser Jr. to unlock the baseball field. But, I will say you should get it for hours of fun.

My 8 year old son loves this game. I bought it used because I couldnt find it new where it didnt cost an arm and a leg. Whats up with that? I dont quite understand why its hard to find, but it worked out for us anyway. I buy a lot of used games and havent had any issues. Fun game for everyone.

I did not realize this was a used item when I purchased it. It said new. I often order used DVDs and books for my own kids...it works but I was disappointed as this was a Christmas gift and the case and Mario cover was torn and scratched up and had been opened then re-wrapped in non standard plastic it was clear it was pre-owned. :( I could have bought a pre-owned movie for much cheaper than the price I paid for this item.

Set in the diverse environments of "Baseball Kingdom," this is a game that is easy to learn and compulsively addictive, but that also can be made to be as challenging as you want it to be. When you are a rookie go on the offensive by swinging the Wii Remote to smack singles, doubles, triples or even home runs; while when playing defense simulating a pitching motion to toss the ball over the plate. As you grow more confident in your skills, you can choose to attach a nunchuck controller while playing defense to control outfielders for an extra challenge. And regardless at what level you play at always remember that
Mario Super Sluggers" nine mini-games are always an option. So, when you need a break from organized play, just grab a few friends and take the mound in a pitching challenge or swing for the fences in the home run derby.

In addition, since Mario Super Sluggers supports up to four players, with enough controllers, you can go two on two in epic battles. As you traverse the Baseball Kingdom, put together your "all star" team made up of your favorite Nintendo characters including the games five captains. Each of these has different abilities and temperament making them as valuable as they are difficult in the right or wrong situation. The result is a take on the American Pastime that you and your family will have a hard time putting down.
