These pencils I think are pretty good quality for a hobbyist or serious student. Not sure if they really are professional grade. The round pencils roll easily so hold them in your hand while you use them. If you are looking for a true black lead, go for ink or charcoal. Have fun drawing!

My daughter loves it

Pencils came pre-sharpened, but with two leads broken. On re-sharpening, I found the lead was not centered in the wood casing. It resulted in wood running clear to the point on one side of the pencil making it marginally useful.

Super cool pencils easy to use, I would give these as a gift. The lead is not easily broken, stays sharp, so your not constantly interrupted to re-sharpen. I would definitely recommend this product
