good classic movie that we tend to forget about

When his mother said No, hes not going to go to some special school Rocky Dennis (Erik Stoltz) says to the principal, Dont worry Ill work hard. & I wont let you down. His mother did stick up for him every once in a while, but didnt give him enough attention, because she was a drug addict. That explains the lazy look you saw on her face a lot of times. Rocky & her argued too. & it came to pass. & eventually she quit doing drugs. & Rocky wouldnt tolerate it if somebody picked on him or teased him in school. He stood his ground. That takes a lot of guts. Gar (Sam Elliot) was a good friend of Rockys mother. & also thought the world of Rocky. Thats the only motorcycle gang in any movie Ive seen thats not violent. Anyhow, Rocky wants to do something with his life, & has got all these places pegged on his world wide map of his on the wall that hed like to go to. He never said too much about his goals. I guess it was not to be afraid of people, or feel embarrassed. He & one of his closest friends named Ben had talked about doing things together & had plans. Rocky freaks out when Ben says hes decided to take a job somewhere. Rockys grandparents also visit. & take Rocky to a Baseball game. He was also invited to go to summer camp. The only thing is though the campers there were blind. Rocky meets a girl there. He shows her things & she shows him a thing or 2. He had a good time there. Its a good feeling to get out enjoy the world if you feel depressed. I do think Rocky learned a few things. He found out his new girlfriend liked horses. Her parents though were not too sure they wanted her around Rocky. To me they were a little rude to him. Maybe they didnt mean to be. Rocky dies at the end of the movie, being still affected from the way he was born, having headaches once in a while, & they seemed to be getting worse as he got older.

Even though most the story has been dramatized, it still is a good movie, and pays homage to the real person who lived through it. Sam Elliot, great as always. Chers performance is outstanding. Eric Stoltz did a good job. Good music, whether its the version with Bruce Springsteens or Bob Segars music.

Box was damaged. I thought this had a French version, but it doesnt. Thankfully, manufacturer reimbursed me quickly.

the original version is BETTER. bob segers music meshes alot better than bruce springsteens. i found the old version on VHS at a thrift store for .99, and bought an old vcr at the that same thrift store just to watch it. thats how much i hated the new version, even if it is on dvd and much easier to find. anyway, screw the directors cut and watch the original release, if you can find it.

SHIPPING AND PACKAGING WAS GOOD. ARRIVED ON TIME. ORDERED FOR A FRIEND THAT IS A HUGE CHER FAN. SHE WAS THRILLED AND ONE OF HER ALL TIME FAVORITS. I WOULD ORDER FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN.

Had seen the movie before several times. Ordered the dvd because it is one of my favorite movies. The acting is outstanding. Recommend this movie for anyone.
