> 3 dayI lived on the 3rd floor apartment and wanted to try and get my queen size purple 2 down 3 flights of stairs without any damage. I bought this thinking it would be thick enough to save my mattress, but it was not. The adhesive did not stick well so I taped the entire thing with gorilla tape. If you own a Purple you know there heavy (100lbs) and flimsy. I got the mattress down the stairs by myself but the mattress got ruined on the way down. The bed bag broke down the stairs catching on a corner ripping open a corner of my bed. If you must use these, buy 2-3 of them. Or hire a moving company so you know your belongs don’t get ruined.

Greater than one weekDuring a 4-day, top-of-car, strapped-down journey, it took less than 1 day for the flap to become unsealed and the bag so shredded that trying to reseal/re-tape it was impossible. All we could do was cut away the large, loose and flapping /shredding parts of the bag so they didnt impair our view or break loose and hit others windshields. By Day 4, our previously nearly new (6 month old high-quality and beloved) mattress was filthy and irreparably smushed from being exposed to wind for 4 days, and we ended up junking it -- $750 down the tubes. Seems thick enough to act as a light cover when moving cross town (maybe?) or to sit in storage (maybe??) , but definitely NOT recommended to protect mattress from any real distress, as it suggests.

Greater than one weekVery satisfied that my mattress was very protective and most importantly arrived clean to my new home. Highly recommend this item for anyone moving.

> 3 dayGood quality but so very disappointed that it included nothing for boxspring. Dont be like me and assume that its all you need, then struggle with a packed storage unit to cover your boxspring. Order 2 from the jump!

> 3 dayThe mattress cover seems to be very durable. The plastic is very heavyweight. It is pretty easy to slide onto the mattress, even with just one person, then the tape seal is solid. Because the tape is so sticky, I dont think you could easily re-use the cover but the quality of the tape is important if the mattress is going to be exposed to weather in a move. Plus, the cost is low enough that a single use is still cost effective.
