Hubby had me buy this for his ham radio setup. He said it works, and does what he needs it to do but it is cheap. For the price he is satisfied but will be purchasing something better quality to better meet his needs/wants.

OK for SWR and low- and high-end 10W scale measurement... accurately measured 1W and 10W output into a 30W dummy load from a new QRP rig however, the 5W measurement only registered 2W on the scale, when 5W was measured against an MFJ822 on its 30W scale (which was itself inaccurate on 10W measurement of the rigs output) in this regard, this meter is OK - its field strength measurement feature is a bonus, although many folks do not use it nowadays a nice feature is the angled view of the meters... antenna output and transceiver input are on opposite ends rather than in the rear of the meter

I have a 4 Watt CB and this unit says it puts out 10+ watts of power. My other meter indicates 3.9 Watts for the same radio. This makes all the functions of this meter questionable.

This SWR meter seems to be all its supposed to be. I did not calibrate the unit so I dont know about accuracy. It is small and simple to use. I like the double meter feature as it allows for SWR and power readings at the same time. For the money its a good tool for CB checking.

I opened the box, hooked it up and the first meter would do nothing. I took it to a CB guru, he hooked it up in his shop & again, the first meter would not move so this meter was defective right from the factory. So much for quality checking. I would NOT recomend buying this, it was a big waste of money. I woumd have returned it but I had thrown all the packaging away when I opened it, so theres about 30.00 down the drain.

The meter works on all HF frequencies, although the power readout is likely accurate only if you are transmitting around 27 Mhz. The screw on antenna is helpful for me when Im tracing where my 14 Mhz signal is leaking with my indoor antenna for that band. For some reason, I was shipped two of these and charged for one. I guess ill have a spare.

This is a good meter for Citizens Band radio, but its not good for ham radio. In the spec sheet it says not for VHF/UHF. Since this meter is bound to attract ham users, they should understand its made for CB users, and for that it does quite well.

Watt meter does not return to zero. It’s going back. Will buy another brand. You get what you pay for with this one.
