> 24 hourLid opens along the long side of the box and has a handle that sticks out. Was an issue for me because I couldnt store the box where I wanted too because of the handle protrusion. Just an FYI because it does affect how you might want to use the box. Otherwise, it is a nice box for storing makeup. Not tall enough for lipstick tubes though :(
