Greater than one weekI needed some storage in my bathroom but didnt want glass and plastic often looks bad, in my opinion. These hold a lot and having a lid allows you to store q tips for example without worrying about dust, etc. I cant comment on longevity or whether theyll rust. They arent stackable but they look great on my counter. Very happy I chose these
