MEEDEN 12-Well Round Porcelain Watercolor Paint Palette for Watercolor Gouache Acrylic Oil Painting, 7-Inch

This palette is perfect for my needs. I paint miniatures for board games and have been very disappointed with the cheap plastic palettes I have been using to now. The weight of this palette allows me to use it without it sliding across the table whenever I get paint from it. I do not imagine it would work very well if I were going to be taking it on the go with me but for me this is not a limitation at all. Simply put, I will be using it at home and loving every minute of it.

Easy to clean, never stain. Great for watercolor and ink.

I really like the ceramic finish and deep paint wells. These are heavy, but that doesn’t bother me, as I am not traveling with them. I prefer these to the plastic palettes because they don’t stain and I feel I can mix the paints more effectively. These would not be good for travel, due to their weight. I plan on purchasing a couple more in the future.

Not much to say. If you’re looking for a porcelain pallet, this ones pretty good. Doesn’t come with a lid, so if you want to save your materials inside, I’d recommend using plastic wrap or maybe foil, just don’t tilt it with the foil. Also inks will probably dry out within a day or so, whether it’s covered or not. Since watercolor is re-wetable, should be fine.

large, solid, deep wells, great quality

While I expected this palette to be a bit smaller than it actually is, I am SO glad I purchased it! It has become my favorite, go-to palette for all of my watercolor work. The wells are deep enough that I can mix to my hearts content without worrying the colors will slosh over the edges into adjoining wells, and the two wells in the center are plenty large enough to hold several colors right out of the tube, or more mixing space, or even serve as water wells. It is definitely not a travel palette., as its somewhat large and definitely breakable, but in my studio, this lovely little dish is perfect! My only word of caution is that I noticed this palette is listed as for Watercolor Gouache Acrylic Oil Painting, and while I cant speak to using it for gouache or oils, I absolutely would NOT use a palette of this type with acryics. Because of the deep wells I think it would be hard to clean. But for watercolors, its really great!
