Solid and easy for young ones to pick up. Matching color with color’s name written on the board. Because of the unique shape of each fish the puzzle is a bit more challenging than the traditional toddler puzzle...which is good because it has kept my granddaughter more engaged with it.

My 20 month old granddaughter loves it! She’s learned her colors using this puzzle. At first challenging for her to get the pieces to fit, but by day 3 she mastered it...she places them all in correctly and dumps them out over and over.

Sturdy wood puzzle pieces. The orange fish piece looks red. That’s the only negative.

My 18month old loves this puzzle! She is learning colors and this is perfect for her to match everything up. The fish are a thick, sturdy wood. The board is a think particle board/cardboard and i dont think it will last long. But I love the fish and that she gets so much joy out of matching and trying to decide what colors I am looking for. This would be a perfect gift if someone needs a great idea for a young family/friend gift!

This is a sturdy, quality wood puzzle set. My 2 yr old likes it. The pieces arent too small or too big; fits perfectly in small hands. The word of the color is on each fish of the board (theyre reading the word and acknowledging the colors).

Great puzzle but knocking off a star because the shades of the puzzle pieces and the background are different. This is noticeably confusing my young toddler. Won’t be an issue later on when he understands the concept of shading, but tricky now as the colors are not an exact match.

The price is probably too much for a puzzle but overall it is one of my children’s favorites. The pieces are easy to put in place without having to wiggle or force, a great feature for toddlers lacking in motor skills.

My almost-2 granddaughter loves this puzzle. She takes them all out and lines them up and counts them. And is learning colors as well. The size of the fish is great for little hands. The pieces are well-made and sturdy. The colors go through the fish, so nothing to chip off. My daughter-in-law teaches pre-schoolers, so I sent one for her classroom. She says the children love it and are taking turns to play with it. Thank you again Melissa and Doug for providing quality products that spark learning and creativity.
