> 3 dayI love this Melissa & Doug Jumbo wooden puzzle. The wooden knobs are the perfect size for my 20 month olds hands. This puzzle is sturdy and well built. He loves to bang the pieces together and they have held up great. The size of the pieces are just right. He can put them where they belong but it is still a little bit of a challenge so he is interested in the puzzle. The colors are bright and attractive. He loves to make the sound of the vehicles as he puts them in.

Greater than one weekVery disappointed by this. The quality is so poor, splinters everywhere- I don’t feel comfortable letting my child play with this.

> 3 dayThis is a great little puzzle but I wouldnt recommend it for any kids over the age of 2. I thought it would be good for my 2 1/2 year old but when it arrived I realized the pieces are a lot bigger and thus less complicated. I would say this puzzle is a good second puzzle for a kid.

> 3 dayYou can’t go wrong with Melissa & Doug products. These puzzles are perfect for a beginner (1year) who is learning dexterity skills and matching. He loves it and doesn’t know he’s learning! ❤️

> 3 dayI almost didnt buy this product because of the negative reviews. The puzzle I ordered came shrink wrapped and in perfect condition. The pieces and frame are made of thick wood and all of the pieces have knobs, not like in the picture. I called Melissa and Doug because I was concerned about the negative reviews. They told me that the pictures are not painted, but they have a high quality laminate on top. The pieces are not made to get wet, but they shouldnt fall apart if a little moist sometimes. In my opinion, a one year old should be doing puzzles with supervision so they can learn how to do a puzzle. The pieces should not be used as a chew or sucking toy for a long period of time. Even solid wood will warp if put in mouth and chewed on for a while. One year olds do like to put everything in their mouths though. My grandson did put the piece in his mouth for a few seconds a few times, and the piece did not start to fall apart. The knobs are solid wood and my grandson prefers to put the knobs in his mouth rather than the piece itself. Its reassuring to know that the knobs are screwed, not glued, so I dont have to worry about them falling off. I highly recommend this product. Just use it with supervision and dont allow your child to use the pieces as chewing or sucking toys.
