Mens Vintage Canvas Satchel School Military Shoulder Messenger Crossbody Bag

I am returning this bag. It would be great for me, if I was into these types of bags. I thought it would be much larger to suit my hubbys build. This is not suitable for a man over 53. It is made out quality material, but it is not for men. Very small. If you want to buy this for your young son or tomboy daughter this would be great.

My husband purchased this for work, besides having to tell his coworkers its a satchel and not a man purse. He said it works great for taking work related necessities from location to location with in the plant.

I wanted a shoulder bag for travel that I could carry a camera, guide book, maps etc and still have room for any pick up along the way items. Not big name attractive, and has to be sturdy enough to resist a grab and run incident.

Love the bag, it was for our hand fasting and it was great to carry the items we wanted in there and we still use it today.

I purchased this bag to carry the assorted equipment that I like to take with me when I got rock collecting with my sisters (because 3 little old ladies wandering out into the wilderness to pick up a bunch of rocks obviously wont be carrying enough weight). I have a belt and a different bag for my tools, but this bag carries my testing and imaging equipment (my hardness kit, my digital microscope, and assorted imagers for viewing rocks and minerals from 3x to 1000x power, just because I can, lol). It has enough pockets that my delicate equipment is protected against being knocked around in a single compartment, and the Pelican Micro cases that I purchased for the really delicate stuff (for those moments when I am gravitationally challenged) fit perfectly!

This bag is just what I needed to carry my Kindle, notebooks, phone, camera, and pens to work each day. It is strong and sturdy and I love the magnetic buttons which make it easy to close. Excellent workmanship and perfectly made. Arrived quickly and I use it every day.

Update 18 May 2017: Downgraded to two stars. I have had this bag for less than three months, and only use it one or two days a week, at most. On Tuesday while out for the day, I noticed the fabric has frayed at the stitching, and pulled away from the back wall of the rear zipper pocket; it only has receipts in it, nothing heavy. In fact, I travel quite light these days. I guess you get what you pay for - will look for something better soon.
