Greater than one weekI like it very much. I bought it for my 9 years old grandson. When he see a word and he ask what does that word mean. I tell him to get the dictionary and he will look it up. He loves to read so he use it alot. Worth the price. Its big and when his younger siblings are older they can use it.

> 3 dayI got this as a tool for my children to use in case/when the digital world fails. They might not always have access to technology and the way things are going now, everything is on the verge of collapse. Kids need to know how to do math, write in cursive, and look up words in the dictionary. This is a beautiful dictionary for kids! Its big, lots of words and pictures. My children sat and looked through the pages. They were quite captivated by the dictionary, the word history captions, and the root word explanations. Its very colorful, but not too much...just the right amount for 4th - 6th graders. It arrived in perfect condition!

> 3 dayThis book has proven valuable even with a few words missing (no dictionary has all the words, does it?) However, we are using this for homeschool purposes and imagine my surprise, while teaching about writing and Columbus and the Taino people, that the words “rhetoric” and “indigenous” (respectively) do NOT exist in this book. I don’t fault anyone- it’s not like the entire English language could ever fit in here, however, the word “tweet” (as in the tweets you add to your Twitter account) IS listed, so I’m left wondering who prioritized social media over other words. It is still a valuable resource- my children are learning how to research, investigate, critique, and question articles and their “sources”. Today’s journalists don’t even do that today it seems, and my kids are 7 and 4. For that, I’m giving it 4 stars. I’ll review my opinion in a year if anything else surfaces.

Greater than one weekI bought this for my 8 year old, so he can learn the meanings of new words. He really loves the book alot. It is easy to use, and we have even come up with a find the word game so he can familiarize himself with it better. I recommend this book to any elementary student. It is a cute dictionary, but it is also quite easy to use, too.

> 3 dayIt is well organized and easy for kids to use. My daughter loves looking at the pictures. But there are words missing that you would expect in a childrens dictionary. Why isnt the word leprechaun in there?

Greater than one weekI bought this dictionary for my 2nd grader after an assignment to define spelling words. The definitions are simple and concise, making it a perfect book for my daughter. Some pictures as well to help make connections.
