I am disappointed given the good reviews this tuner got. The wattmeter was not calibrated when arrived. it was off by about 20%. Isnt it supposed to have been done before it left the factory? Also, the reading differs by about 10% between 10m and 20m when the same power is used in both bands. I do not have a chance to try the tuning function yet.

First one showed up doa. Returned item resold. Put off buying for a while but gave it one more chance. Glad I did itll tune every thing Ive thrown at it. Very happy.

After reading about issues with the inductor selector switch, that was the first thing I checked. Mine operates smoothly with positive detents. The antenna selector isnt as smooth. The meter backlight on the tuner I received is a nice white LED. It shows very nicely using a 5 volt power source and is really makes the meters easy to read at 12 volts. 80 through 10 meters tune nicely on my short compromise wire antenna. 10 meters is VERY sharp....patience is called for, but it will tune! My antenna is too short to get anywhere near a decent match on 160 meters. Overall, I really like this tuner so far.

like the ease of operation dislike the small cross needle meter. all in all a good tool at a fair price

Tunes my antenna system quite well. Easy to learn how to get the capacitance and inductance working together to achieve good SWR. I use it to tune my dipole antennas so that Im not having to take them down and put them back up over and over again while trimming them.

This is the second one of these that I have owned. The first one had issues with the plates in the capacitors arcing, and many of the screws on the SO239 connectors were loose. This one has no such issues. But while examining this one as you always want to do with any MFJ product, I found that the ISO239 for coax jack #1 had never seen any solder, and the ISO239 for the transmitter was a cold solder joint. This prompted me to clean the solder from all connectors and solder them again. The power meter is generous, but this is a minor detail. I love this unit and wouldnt hesitate to purchase another to work on as always. One thing I still plan to do is use heat shrink tubing on the wires tapped to the coil. Bare wires running close to one another has never been something Ive felt confortable seeing. Oh and Im not sure what the one person was talking about that said this has a yellowed light in the meter. I pulled it and looked. The unit I got has a bright white led which lights the meter bright and clear.

Great tuner. Using it on my IC-718 with a G5RV antenna. Tunes great except in the 10 meter band. SWR is 2 at lowest. 20/40/80 tune flat on SWR.

The MFJ-941E gives you a 300 Watt antenna tuner that covers everything from 1.8 - 30 MHz -- plus you get a lighted Cross-Needle meter with on/off switch, antenna switch and a 4:1 balun! (The light uses 12 VDC or 110 VAC with MFJ-1312D * Not included) MFJs lighted Cross-Needle meter shows SWR, forward and reflected power all at a glance in 300/60 and 30/6 watt ranges, 8 position antenna switch lets you select 2 coax lines, random wire/balanced line or dummy load (direct or through). An efficient 12 position airwound inductor gives lower losses and more power out. Has 4:1 balun, 1000 Volt capacitors. The beautiful aluminum cabinet has a durable scratch-proof multicolor Lexan front panel matches your rig perfectly and fits right into your station.
