2.0 AH Battery went fast - but I got it because it was dual power - has a plug in option I would get it again Very pleased. Bulkier than expected but runs so much cooler than old halogen work light. I also like the different brightness modes

I’ll have to attach a photo, but holy smokes this is bright. I had only tested indoors and was impressed, but I heard Bigfoot out in the woods behind my house the other night so I put this thing to the test. Ran downstairs, grabbed the light and popped in a 5.0xc, hauled my rear end upstairs and onto the back deck. Still heard some crunching around in the woods and VOILA! The darkness disappeared and so did Bigfoot. Couldn’t get him this time, but seriously this light is insanely bright and I don’t think I’ll ever need the full capabilities it provides, but I’m glad I have them especially for the low price I got this for. A+ I can’t comment on battery life yet, but will update as time goes. The 3 prong outlet could end up being useful. The swivel function is great and it’s nice having multiple lighting modes for different brightness needs. I’d pay the $169 Home Depot sells this for knowing what I know now.

I was using it to paint my wall of my house. Totally worth it. You can select 3 more low, medium and high. It comes with no battery but you can use an extension cord and it will work without battery.

This Milwaukee work light (2366-20 M18 ROVER) is not a bright focused light like a bright LED flashlight, but rather a flood or area light. If you expect a blindingly bright light to brag about this probably isnt your light, but it is a very good general light for many kinds of work where you want sufficient and even lighting. A very bright light that does not cover the entire work area evenly is not great. I have used it several times, today I was working under a trailer on a dark cloudy day and it was perfect. Battery life is decent, and as a bonus there is a covered receptacle so you can use a 120V extension cord with a single plug to power it, similar to how a cord connects to a desktop computer and many printers. Its actual size is just under 10 high and the same on the width, and about 8.7 front to back. Without a battery its 5.9 lbs.

Light works well - as a device to illuminate. Solid - well built. High beam doesnt seem to be as bright as I thought, and the light is a tad on the yellow side. (I prefer crisp blue-white light for construction). I can stuff a 2.0Ah or a 12.0AH - all M18 batteries fit. The problem for me was the base where it looks like the bean counters attacked. Chintzy sums it up with only dual sets of 2 directional holes for a screw mount (no template). No built in clamp like the excellent 4-legged smaller Rover has. Cant ceiling mount as the 4 total holes compete with each other for direction. I just glued 2 neodymium magnets to the base with superglue and that seems to hold it up. I would not buy this again.

I purchased this light to use during project power outages to provide light in our common bathrooms without having to run generators or patch in alternate power supplies. Its turned out to be even brighter than anticipated and now my electrical contractor keeps borrowing it. It does eat batteries when switched to high but the light output is worth it and you can easily overcome this by using bigger batteries. On high it will eat through a 4.0 in under 3 hours but a 12.0 will last you a full day. Ive passed on quite a few of the Milwaukee area lights and Im glad I waited for this one. The design and cost/lumen is well above their other offerings. I havent used the dual power feature yet but like others, I do wonder why they couldnt have incorporated a battery charger into the design so it doubles as a standby light in case of power emergencies. Not a deal breaker by any means but how cool would that be.
